Description of 1986 Chevrolet Blazer k5 |
Completely redone m1009. Ready to go wherever you need it to. I purchased it last this summer but have decided to downsize to something smaller. as this beast barely fits in my garage. The gentleman I purchased it from has his own shop down in Kansas where he specializes in rebuilding these. Here is a preliminary list of things that were done: 1986 M1009 58K miles 6. 2 diesel with new injection pump TH400 3 speed automatic transmission. rebuilt NP 208 transfer case 10 bolt front and rear axles. 3. 08 gears. rear gov lok 32/11. 50/15 Cooper MT's on Black Rock rims 383 green body (in and out). black bumpers and grille guard Bed lined front to back inside and the rear wheel wells on the outside (rock noise. under coating helps. but not as much as bed liner) Black carpet. front to back Insulation. front to back New Tan/saddle seat replacement vinyl New black dash New tan door panels with black arm rest New black sun visors Pioneer CD player Dash speakers. door speakers. and rear speakers. Self powered sub under drivers seat All new seals and weather stripping except the windshield and the shell. They are still nice. Will be re-keyed. Here is a comprehensive list of what all was done to the truck with associated costs: Rebuilt trans with less than 2000 miles - $800 Rebuilt injection Pump with less than 1000 miles - $1200 3 gallons of paint. primer and supplies - $475 Engine oil and filter - $30 Front brake pads - $30 Left upper and lower ball joints - $60 Left tie rod - $35 Tires - $800 Wheels - $260 New dash - $350 New door panels - $180 New arm rest - $60 New sun Visors - $60 Bed liner - $160 Carpet and insulation - $400 New seat vinyl - $500 Winch and mount - $500 Industrial Coating - $100 Undercoating - $50 Radio and Speakers - $580 Side Steps - $180 New tail light lenses and front marker lenses - $30 New winshelid - $110 Weather stripping (GM) - $360 Weather stripping aftermarket - $230 Misc pieces from LMC for radio - $45 Door lock cylinders - $25 Vent window gaskets/seals - $35 Vent window handles and gaskets - $30 Plus the price of the Blazer. 250 combined hours getting it into the shape its in. I usually charge 65 an hour on custom builds for other people. I am sure I missed some things that were replaced. " I paid a couple hundred extra to have Collector plates put on. which means you won't have to spend money on getting new tabs every year. Since I've had it. I've added floor mats in the back and 2 Mossy Oak Camo/Bullet floor mats in the front that cost around $50. and also fixed a small electrical issue that cost $100. Oh and I also got a Bulldog Car Vault (lock-box) for about $50 with install that fits conveniently behind the driver's seat. If I'm forgetting anything I'll update this as I think of it.
