Description of 1963 Chevrolet Nova SS |
This 63 Nova SS coupe is painted GM blue metallic and has been completely restored. Purchased from original owner and customized to turn heads. The Nova's straight six has been replaced with a new ZZ4 350 Crate featuring a street roller camshaft. 4-bolt main block. 1053 forged steel crankshaft. high silicon pistons with over 400 Ft-Lbs of torque. aluminum intake and complimented with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor. All this power is sent through a Muncie 4-speed transmission that's topped with a Hurst competition shifter. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 9-bolt Ford rear end with a 3:55 gear ratio. This SS Nova has no trouble burning the rubber off the 14" Goodrich TBA tires mounted to Centerline Mag wheels. Exhaust gases are routed through stainless steel headers to a Flow Master exhaust system that is finished off with Magna-Flow stainless steel exhaust tips that exit just behind the rear wheels. For superior braking on this Super Sport Nova. after market four-wheel disc brakes replaced the original factory drum units. The front suspension has been upgraded to a custom Chris Alston Chassis Works model to handle the added weight of the 350 and to ensure a custom ride. All stock and original seats have new black upholstery complimenting the new carpet and headliner. Factory gauges have been replaced with a Pro-Comp Ultra Light system. the factory steering has been upgraded to a flaming River stainless steel column and steering wheel that's connected to new rack and pinion steering. New sound system and too many other features to list. |
