Description of 1964 Chevrolet Impala |
Please read carefully as I don't want anyone misunderstanding what this car is and is not. It is a true SS car as the VIN number indicates but the motor is not original to the car. The guy that owned the car before me had the motor built and he said it's a 402 so it's probably a 396 bored over. It has a Voo-Doo cam and many other high performance parts in the engine and the car makes a lot of power and sounds great. Has that deep big cam rumble and has headers and nice exhaust. I was told the engine has around 1200 miles on it since the engine was put in. It's not the original engine to the car. I personally have had the car for about 3 months and am only selling because I bought a 67 camaro that I wanted and I don't room for this car or I would keep it. Car is geared real tall so it runs high RPMs at 55mph and the also locked. The interior is perfect and has a great aftermarket stereo that was installed by the guy I got the car from. He owned an audio business. The car is a factory air car and the unit is in the trunk in case you wanted it back in the car. The car is a lot of fun to drive and gets a ton of looks. The body does have some rust issues from years ago as the car was redone at some point. I'm guessing the car was redone about 20 years ago. The car isn't perfect but it's a great car to use as a driver or if you want to restore it then it wouldn't take a lot. The guy said he had almost $8000 in the motor alone but I have no proof of that. If you have any more questions please just ask me and I will do my best to help you. I do not have a pay pal account so if you are the winning bidder I will require a cashiers check of $500 within 72 hours of auction close and remaining balance to paid in full when you pick the car up. If you live in the Midwest I'd be willing to deliver the car for a fee as I do have a trailer I can put it on. Please don't bid if you don't have the ability or the intention of following through. Thank you. |
