Description of 1966 Chevrolet Impala |
One Man, ne Car, is Story I am an automotive broker. I have been asked specifically by the seller to sell this car. I have used my digital camera to take all the photos myself. None of the pictures have been touched up, hotoshopped or manipulated. The photos depict the actual car as it looks today. I would like to present to you, he public, or the very first time, his 1966 Chevrolet 2 Door Impala. It was only sold once, nd that was in 1966 when the car was brand new. One man owned it, ll it's life. I am sure there is a story with the car, nd we may not know all the details, ut what a car. This car has always been garaged and covered since new. It was bought and used in Sunny Southern California for all it's life, here it is still today. When the car started to show some wear, he owner decided to fix the car up and restore it, ut give it a custom look. So he decided to make some changes on the car to make it his own. He finished his car and was proud of how he gave his Impala a custom look. He died suddenly at age 84, nd that was 8 years ago. His wife could not part with the car and kept it covered in the garage. She decided it was time to downsize and to bring out the Impala and sell it. The 1966 Chevrolet 2 Door Impala Coupe has about 400 miles on a new Chevy "crate" 350 V-8, ith a new 2 Barrel Carburetor. The "powerglide" transmission has been completely rebuilt with an added custom transmission cooler. Radiator and hoses have been replaced. The charging system has been updated from a generator to an alternator. The body exterior has been repainted in the original Metallic Danube Blue. The interior has been changed to a matching blue "tweed" material used in door panels, eats, eadliner and trunk. According to his wife, e installed new tires and custom chrome wheels. He had special hydraulic door openers installed, ou will notice the missing door handles were done on purpose. Replaced power steering pump, nd engine distributor assembly. All exterior chrome pieces, ave been replaced or re chromed. The entire exhaust system has been replaced, ll pipes and mufflers including new dual exhausts. New custom steering wheel, ust a little smaller in diameter. The undercarriage looks good and maintained. It appears that the suspension components had been replaced at least once since it was new, long with new top of the line heavy duty Monroe shock absorbers. The factory 4 wheel drum braking system is working properly. The owner added a power driver seat, hat seems to work when it wants to. Also, n AM/FM radio with cassette has been installed, ut does not seem to be working at this time. The alarm system has been unplugged at this time. All the fluids have been changed The engine starts up and runs great. The Impala handles well and drives well. It feels new and tight. Idon't hear any rattles or noises while driving, t seems to perform like a new car. We have clean title in hand. We are not certain of the mileage, hat is stated on the dashboard, t seems low, venthough, he speedometer and odometer seem to test out to be working properly. All windows have the original window cranks and are working properly. The Impala seems to have held up quite well over the years. If you are looking for a good strong sixties car, hat has all kinds of possibilities, hen, his may be the car you might be looking for. Take a good look at all the pictures, nd ask any questions you might have, nd this might be the Chevy you always wanted. Don't let this one pass you by!
