Description of 1964 Chevrolet Impala |
1964 CHEVY IMPALA SS VERY RARE STORY BEHIND THIS CAR!! This Chevy ImpalaSSwas originally sold from Stockburger Chevrolet located in Bucks County in the Historic Borough of Newtown, A. Stockburger Chevrolet was a family ownedbusiness for over 50 years. It was located in a community where all the local businesses supported each other. So when this car was originally sold, t was sold to the Fabian family which had a home comfort business located directly down the street from the Stockburger dealership. TheFabian family owned the vehicle first and then it was sold to an employee of theirs. Those two owners collectivelyown this Impala from 1964-1979 and traded the car back in to Stockburger for an upgrade. However, rom that moment until today that Impala remained in the Stockburger family. In fact, twas given to his son when he was in 8th grade. So the son had cherished this car forthe next 36 years. Before he was able to drive it legally hewould clean what he could, ix what he could and paint what he could and it was very easy for him because he had all the parts, OS parts at his finger tips. Evenin shop class he made a 64 SS key chain photographed below. As the years progressed, he car had made over 102k miles of memories, ncluding his high school years. If something needed to be fixed or painted it went right to the Stockburger dealership. There is record of this car being stocked and sold with hand written record keeping in the archived books of Stockburger Chevrolet. The rare dealer promo book and the promotional items as a yard stick all go with the car. Also, efore this car was sold to the Fabian family, /c was dealer installed. I spoke to Mr. Stockburger briefly while photographing this car who recently sold his 1957 Chevy. He said, every car has its time to go and unfortunately its time for the Impala to leave the family so it can be enjoyed by its next one..." How true is that? This Impala is part of the Stockburger legacy and history. What was once a car that was counted as another sale, urned into be part of the family....producing moments to remember measured by the odometer on the dash. Please read on to find out more and please note, here are plenty of pics along with a video at the bottom. Thank you for viewing.
