Offering a nice balance of features and affordability. this 1972 Chevrolet C10 Custom long bed remains an excellent choice for the guy who wants a fun old truck that can still haul a few things when the need arises. The two-tone blue and white paint job is fairly close to what this truck was wearing when it came out of the factory. It emphasizes the C10s clean. straight lines and gives it an old truck look thats quite appealing. It isnt so perfect that youre afraid to use it. but on the other hand. it shines up nicely enough to get plenty of envious stares in the Home Depot parking lot. If youve never owned a pickup before. the long bed really is the one to own. despite the seeming popularity of the short bed models. One. it just looks better. with nice proportions and an imposing stance. And two. its practical. because that long bed can carry a lot more than youd ever imagine. so dont be afraid to use this one to its full potential! Decent chrome and stainless trim accentuates the upscale Custom model and a blacked-out grille up front remains a Chevy trademark that looks great even on a pickup. It also has a very stock look inside. where youll find a comfortable bench seat with a very 1972-looking seat cover with woven inserts. Heavy-duty floor coverings look like they might be original and in remarkably well-preserved condition. and the door panels with their tooled look are unquestionably factory-issue. Chevy was still doing color-matched steering wheels in 1972 (this one is brand new. by the way). and while the accommodations are a little basic. its nice to see that GM stylists were hard at work trying to make the pickup a great place to spend your time. Amenities include factory A/C with an R134a refrigerant upgrade. a tilt steering column. and a newer AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo. Theres also a new dash pad up top. Factory gauges are showing their age but work as intended covering speed and fuel level. and an aftermarket cup holder assembly has been added to the dash and its really more convenient than youd think. For motive power. theres a 350 cubic inch V8 thats been recently serviced and is ready to get to work. It was rebuilt a few years ago and now wears Chevy Orange paint that stands out in the otherwise all black engine bay. A 4-barrel carburetor builds power and it uses a nice-sounding dual exhaust system that was installed not too long ago. The A/C system was completely restored. including the ductwork. so that critical component is fully functional and with power steering and brakes. it doesnt feel as big as it is. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic feeding the original 12-bolt rear end. which hangs on coil springs and trailing arms for a surprisingly comfortable ride even when its empty. A lifetime down south has made a full frame-off restoration completely unnecessary and the hardware is durable and easy to maintain. so you shouldnt have any qualms about putting this truck to use and having some fun. Factory Rally-style wheels with black centers and trim rings carry fat 275/60/15 white-letter radials for a sporty look. A nice truck at a great price. you can easily justify this purchase simply because itll quickly become the most useful tool in your garage. Call today!
