Description of 1958 Chevrolet Impala

This 1958 Chevrolet Impala Convertible looks and smells new. It has just been treated to a complete nut and bolt frame off one year restoration. The beautiful distinctive lines of the 58 Impala convertible accented with the many chrome and stainless moldings and freshly painted in the original color of Rio Red make this an outstanding example of the 50’s era big steel convertibles. The paint is Dupont Chroma Premier . the best line of paint by Dupont and Dupont Clear Coat. We applied sixcoats of clear to the paint job. This car could easily be a show car where ever it goes. Under the hood is the rebuilt 348 engine with the tri-power option. The casting off the engine is 3751872 and the date code is : Dec ( L ) 27 –1957 (57) The entire engine compartment and the engine block are beautifully painted and show better than when the car was new. The car came with Factory power steering . Factory power brakes and Factory power top. It also has power windows. The drivetrain is placed into gear by the rebuilt power glide transmission. The pictures to follow will attest to the frame off restoration. The body was totally stripped down with no bolts left in the car. The body was then media blasted and the process toward painting began. The underside of the car and the inside top of the floors are finished in the red primer as the factory had used. The frame was also cleaned to the bare steel and painted epoxy black and the brakes and front end were rebuilt. All new fuel and brake lines installed. The interior is all new Ciadella interior with the original working am radio. New convertible top and all the pump and hydraulic rams are all new as well. All new BF Goodrich Silvertown 8. 00-14 wide whitewall tires. Also included is theconvertible boot and the fender skirts.
