Description of 1992 Chevrolet Astro |
Hi. /p> I am selling my parents Astro Van. They bought this van new back in 1992 and it only has 115. 00 original miles. The van was well cared for. It is very clean and has little to no rust on the body. the interior is clean. no rips in the seats. no stains. etc. The van always starts right up and runs great. The van recently passed NY state emissions and doesn't leak anything or smoke. The engine is the Fuel injected 4. 3 liter V6 (throttle body injection). The transmission works perfectly and has never had any problems and has Overdrive. The van has a class 3 tow hitch(2") but the hitch was only used to mount a bike rack and the van was never used to tow anything. The van also has power door locks. power windows and power seats in the front. It has two rows of seats in the back and can seat at least 8 people. The seats are removable too. The paint is in great shape except for the hood where the clear coat has come off and was touched up with spray paint. The van is a great vehicle but my parents just don't need it anymore and unfortunately I have too many vehicles to keep it. I just installed a brand new alternator so the van can be driven anywhere and it also has a new Sears battery with receipt/warranty. Have receipts. Tires are in great shape and have plenty of tread left. The van has never been in any accidents and I have the original title in hand ready to sign over to the new owner. Although the van is in great shape there are a few things that will need attention. 1. The driverside power window only goes down halfway so the mechanism will either need to be lubricated or possibly replaced. 2. The air condition recently stopped blowing cold. I was going to just convert it over from the R12 to the R134a but since its winter now I didn't bother. I think that one of that fittings connecting to the rear A/C unit may have been leaking but I’m not 100% sure. 3. although the paint is in great shape. the clearcoat on the hood has peeled off which is a typical problem with GM vehicles of this era. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! |
