USE AS A DAILY DRIVER OR WINTER PROJECT.
Shorty started out as a 1971 Chevy C10 Long Bed work truck with the standard wheel base of 127". Even back than, s well as today, ong beds just weren't "cool", o the owner decided to shorten his truck. A C10 Short Bed wheel base is 115", 2 inches shorter than a long bed and the bed is 2ft. shorter (6ft.) than a long bed. He would have to rework the frame and the bed. Wait, ince I have to cut the frame and bed, ets take it one step farther. Lets take 24 inches off the frame (wheel base 103") and 3-1/2ft. off the bed. New bed length would be 4-1/2ft long, ow that would be different. (I'm guessing as to how Shorty came to be). Shorty is an older build and showing 127,xxx miles on the odometer. Drives ok, ut like a truck with 127,000 plus miles on it. Mechanically, he truck is tired. Suspension and motor could be rebuilt, r you could just drive it as is, daily driver. Look at the pictures, his truck is a great start for a project. The guy I bought Shorty from, ut an amateur paint job on it. The color is real nice, ut the paint joband body prepis not the best, ut the truck looks good, ust like the photos. Here are some items needing replaced.... A/c fan switch (have part). All Window rubber and run channels, ront and sides, ront windshield, fogged around lower edge, ee picture), ing windows, oors need aligned. Interior ok (7.5) seat is cracking. Lowered 3" in front 2" in rear. Polish aluminum rims. V8 small block 350, delbrock Cylinder Heads, olley 750 Carburetor, SD Coil, ild Cam. Headers and dual exhaust. 3 speed automatic transmission, :73 rear gears (posi) Pro Stick Shifter with reverse lock out feature. Drove Shorty from Orlando to San Antonio last year. Have started some repairs myself. This truck is drivable and is being driven now. Auction may end at anytime, ruck is listed locally.
