Here the story!This car was in South Carolina up to 2006 when I bought it off the second owner at the Good Guy Show in North Carolina who bought it in 1973 from the original owner.The car was purchase at Padgette Chevrolet in Greer South Carolina.When I bought the car it had 64,186 miles now it has 64,500 miles.This RS/SS Camaro was original born with a 396 W/375 HP with a 4-speed.The guy I bought it from took the original drive train and swap it out for 327 corvette engine and a 400 automatic trans in 1973.When I bought it I try to find the original motor I was told it was sold to a guy name Greg which had Custom Shop In Greenville SC I contacted him and he said that engine was long gone and the 4 speed was gone also.To make a long story I pull the automatic and put in another 4 speed M-21 that was rebuilt less than 100 miles.The pedals never left the car as of today the Camaro has a 327 with a m-21 4 speed.
