Up for auction today we have a 1964 Chevy II Nova street machine. This car was built from the ground up years ago and ruled the streets around here for years! I bought it because I felt sorry for it and wanted it to be back on the road again. Let me explain...The car was, s I said, uilt years ago as a hot little street machine. It was completely disassembled and painted the metallic blue that you see, nd a fiberglass hood and hood scoop were added at the same time as well as the custom hand painted pin stripes and the Mr. Horsepower bird on the fenders...yes, hat is paint...NOT a decal! The car then had a complete tweed custom interior stitched up that included not only the seats but also the door panels, eadliner, ear shelf, ustom console and even the trunk was done in matching tweed with custom side panels! The previous owner then installed a nasty 327 with nitrous, TH350 TCI transmission with a stall converter, i-tork starter, nbsp;Hooker Super Comp headers, tainless exhaust, lowmaster stainless mufflers, uto-meter Pro-Comp gauges, okar shifter, tc. The car was completely, rofessionally rewired with modern fuses and relays, ew windshield, emote trans coolers, core radiator, ear mount battery, ual reservoir brake master, isc brakesand much more...no expense was spared. He drove it for several years until he finally blew up the engine, hen lost interest and let it just sit outside his garage for 5 years or so where the paint oxidized, ires went flat and was forgotten. I hated to see it deteriorating because it really is built well, ot a rusty rot box and is really cool! Thankfully, e covered the seats with blankets and, xcept for the carpet and trunk upholstery, he interior is in almost perfect condition. When I got it home, went through the brake system andput a new master and wheel cylinders in and got the brakes working good, removed the fuel tank and flushed the fuel system and then installed a 330 horsepowergoodwrench crate 350 engine with nice vortec heads, EI distributor, nbsp;an edelbrock performer intake and 650 carb. and it now runs great, s reallyfast, he trans works great andhas a performance shift feel. The previous owner completely went thru the front suspension shortly before he parked it with new ball joints, ie rod ends, nd an aftermarket performance sway bar, ut he said it "handled like crap" after he did that. Well, find that the front components look like new but it is in need of a front end alignment. He said he never didone and its way off at the moment. So, HE BAD: It needs a front end alignment, he paint is oxidized but Ithink it would buff out really well, herewas a dent that was repaired when itwas painted between the right door and the rear wheel opening and the filler is failing, he fuel gauge is not working because the float failed, hich I noticed when I had the fuel tank out, he tires are holding air but are not much, he chrome on the wheels have some pits, t could use some tail pipes as it is rather loud inside.THE GOOD: as you can see in the pix, he car is not a rotted out turd, he underside is actually really nice, he interior is great and very comfortable, t runs and is really fast and responsive, he wiring is great and everything works, xcept as noted, he glass is all intact, he car is all there and running driving, ots of nice, xpensive parts, eat and noise insulation was added. I would like to keep the car, ut I own 2 other shoe box Nova's andI need the room. I hope the car goes to someone who will appreciate it, nd enjoy it.
