Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 |
This is being relisted due to a non paying none responsive buyer! Please read entire ad. If you are the winning bidder a $100 deposit is due within 24 hours. Final payment is due within 7 days of purchase. Previous buyer failed to do either in 2 weeks and will not respond to communication. Up for consideration is a 1957 Chevy Bel Air two door hard top. This is a very solid car, he only rust issues are some of the floor supports are rusted but the floors look great. The trunk, pare tire well and tail pan also look great! The body looks good but has had some poor body work and amateur paint sometime in the past. There are bumps and bruises on this ole girl, uch as dings, aint chips, cratches, nd rust on the bumpers. It has been stored for a few years but actually runs very well. I have no information on the engine and trans, t appears to be a 350 with a Saginaw 4 speed trans. The engine obviously has an aftermarket cam shaft installed, isten to video! It runs great and does not smoke. The generator is making a terrible racket and the generator light is on, hat's the loud clicking noise heard in the video. The trans shifts very smooth and the clutch feels good. The brakes work fine but probably best to go through since it has been sitting for a while. Things that don't work currently are the radio, ipers, orn, nterior light. I haven't looked into what the problems are with those items. The tires are pretty dry and should be replaced. All of the glass is good with the exception of some bubbling in the vent window glass. I consider this car a project car but could be driven daily with repairs needed as stated above. It's not perfect but a great platform to build a nice car! It is being sold as is with no warranties or refunds. Please feel free to ask questions. Thanks for looking.
