Description of 1967 Chevrolet Nova |
1967 Nova SS 4-speed car. Drives very well, as great power and cruises nicely. Lots of pics below. Stored indoors and only driven about 1,800 miles since I picked up the car in 2010. Besides the things noted at the end of the description, he car is the same as when I purchased it in 2010. Contact me thought the contact seller link above if you have any questions or want additional pictures/details. The vehicle is being sold on an "AS IS" basis, ith no warranties, xpress or implied, s to the condition. I encourage interested parties to inspect the car in person. 327 Engine with snowflake intake; 4-speed Muncie trans with hurst shifter. Block has casting # 3791362, asting date of A-19-7 and #'s stamped are V0303ZA. Heads are different than the camel hump heads which would normally go with this engine and the exhaust manifold was swapped by prior owners to headers. Not numbers matching, he block is likely the original to the car. here's the VIN and Trim tag breakdown: VIN: 118377W169886 Trim Tag Info: 03C 4 67-11837WRN 7022 780 Y-Y W2L5Y 1st Line decodes to: March (03) Manufacture date, hird week (C), lack interior sheet metal (4) 2nd line decode to: year: 1967 (67), hevrolet (1), hevy II Nova SS, 8 (18), illow Run, I Assembly Plant (WRN), equence # 7022 3rd Line decodes to: Black buckets (780), utternut Yellow (Y-Y) 4th Line decodes to: A02 Tinted Glass (W), Speed Transmission (L), 49 Deluxe seat belts (Y) Block Info Casting #'s: 3791362; A-19-7 Stamped #: V0303ZA Originally a butternut yellow car, ainted in 1990's-early 2000's in a color close to GM Light Drift Sand Metallic; the paint shows very well but has a few minor flaws. Both quarter panels have been replaced and portions of the rear wheel wells (done by previous owners). There was a small amount of surface flash rust was found under the passenger front carpet and treated with POR 15 when removing front speakers from the kick panels recently (see pics), therwise floors appear solid. Dual snorkel air cleaner, n the L-79 style, ooks very nice in the engine bay (note that this is NOT an L79 car, or is the air cleaner technically correct for the year/engine). Interior is very nice. Seats, arpet are original; door panel and headliner were replaced by previous owners. A few other details: -In-dash clock not working -CA YOM correct black plates -Steel wheels with poverty caps and red-line tires; spare is also a redline tire -Comes with an extra set of 14"rally rims with trim rings and center caps (no tires), ar cover and previous rear diff unit and alternator -Manual Drum brakes all-around; stops very well. -Previous owner replaced clutch and rear diff to posi unit (old diff will be included) -Sunpro 1.5"volt and mechanical temp/oil gauges -Autometer Street Tach -Car is always stored inside Things I have done to the car since 2010: -Installed a flex fan and radiator shroud to improve cooling, urrently using a 195* t-stat -Had the original AM radio redone by Tayman Electric to a functional AM/FM radio with aux input, tation selector buttons still work -Installed a 1-wire Powermaster alternator; stock voltage regulator still present in the engine bay for appearances (old alternator included) -Installed an H-pipe to balance the exhaust -General maintenance, ecent alignment, tc. |
