This is a numbers matching, reat running and driving 54 with a great history ready for your family! Below is the story from its prior local owner Jane Lemmon. THE LEMMON FAMILY CORVETTE AKA "LITTLE FRIEND" OUR STORY In 1954 my parents lived in the enclave of Golden Beach, suburb of Miami Beach, L. That year my father, ill Lemmon, ecided to surprise my mother, ane E. Lemmon, or their fifth wedding anniversary. The surprise was a 1954 Corvette! Mom fondly referred to her new car as "Little Friend". In 1957, y parents moved back to the Cleveland, H area and so did Little Friend. We lived in Shaker Heights and had a two car garage. Typical of the time, om and Dad both had cars, ut the corvette always occupied one of the two. Dad's car got the driveway. The corvette was always garaged. This was clearly Mom's car. She LOVED it. She only drove the car in the summer and on sunny days. And always with a crazy straw hat. In the 1970's and 80's, y folks would participate in Corvette Club of America rallies. One event took the club from Cleveland to Sandusky, H. The cars were lined up by age and off they went for the 2+ hour drive. Little friend leading the way. Back in 1931, he state of Ohio elected to add letters to their license plates. My grandfather thought it would be fun to have the "first" of this new plate and applied for, nd received, he license plate of "A 31". After my grandparents passed in the mid 1950's, he license plate went to my parents and it was promptly put on the corvette. The plate stayed until my mother and brother moved to Florida in 1994. The car then got a Florida "A 31" plate. My mother had since gifted and titled the car to my brother, artin E. Lemmon, ho loved and tinkered with restoring it. After my brother passed away in 2005, inherited the car. Upon delivery to our home in Malvern, A, promptly went to Best Tags to register the car and apply for the "A 31" plate. Alas, he plate was not available. I was crushed. Standing at the counter, nd having to think quickly, decided to honor the person who had given me this treasure, y beloved brother. So the new PA tag was "LV Marty". A few years ago, decided to go with the classic car registration, ut I still have my "LV Marty" plate. Upon arrival in PA. I made the decision to have the car restored. My husband did some extensive research on who we should send the car to. We were willing to send it out of state if that was the best option. Who knew that the best option was 20 minutes away County Corvette! We brought the car to Jim Stuempfle and he and his crew did an amazing job bringing Little Friend back to her 1954 glory.
