Up for sale we have a 1972 Chevy Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe. This was the last year for the 2nd generation Chevelle. Not a lot was changed from the ’71 model. They did change the grill, eadlight doors, nd front marker lights. The one we have four you has the window sticker, wner books, long with a folder of paperwork, ot to mention the Matching Number Engine, rans, nd Rear End. This car spent its whole life in the state of GA until we bought it. It was restored in 1989 by the second owner who also installed the A/C. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, nterior, nd heartbeat of the Chevy, ut first we would like to tell you a little about us.

Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, perated, nd own our entire inventory, o consignments, nd only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don’t have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, hat’s how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, ictures, r any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.

We will start with the exterior of the Chevelle. It has a straight body with good fit of the panels. At the time of the resto they added the cowl hood. They also installed new bumpers with bumper guards. By the paperwork most of the parts they bought came from year one. They installed new emblems and other trim. All the glass and stainless looks very good as well as the weather stripping. Everything is covered in the Cranberry Red that is accented by the Black Stripes. The paint has a deep rich shine that shows very well. The final exterior touch is the set of 18” and 20” Americans.

Next, e will take a look at the interior of the ’72. On the inside it’s all done in Black with the correct bucket seats and console. It has the factory Horse Shoe shifter. All the interior looks like new with nice carpet and headliner. The A/C is a under dash unit that was sold by GM back in the 80’s The radio was changed to a Sony CD player and set of aftermarket gauges have been added.

Finally, e will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it looks as it would have back in the day. It’s all painted correct with the engine being the Matching Numbers 307 that is mated to the Matching Numbers 350 Turbo and 10 Bolt Rear End. Boxed control arms and a arear sway bar has been added to give it the feel on an SS. This Chevy has Power Steering and Power Drum Brakes. When you look under it the floor pans look great with it never being undercoated and still having the red oxide floors.
