Description of 1949 Chevrolet Other Pickups

1949 Chevy Pickup-Model 3800 1-Ton
Converted to 12 volt-Solid old original truck that has recentlyundergone a full tune up, een re-wired, nd many other new partsinstalled so that this truck can be driven and enjoyed!
Specifications: Original 6 cylinder 216 engine that has had a complete tune up. New points, lugs, ires, tc including a new distributor and coil, arburetor cleaned and rebuilt. New fuel pump. Gas tank, rained and cleaned. Radiator cleaned and rebuilt. Engine has great compression and runs strong.
Brake cylinders were completely rebuilt all the way around and a new master cylinder installed. Brakes workvery well.Transmission is the original 4-Speed on the floor transmission: Shifts very well, asy to drive, trong clutch, o issues.
The body is untouched. Solid, olid, olid. Hood and doors open and shut beautifully, asy and tight. Look at the pictures...running boards are extremely straight. The front bed pan does have rust but could easily be repaired or replaced. I just enjoy the complete originality of the truck. Floors, oe boards and cab are wonderful. Windows roll up and down as they are supposed to. Headliner needs to be replaced
All electrical including lights and gauges work well. Turn signals installed for safety. Converted to 12 volt for reliable starts and brighter lights. 2 speed electric wiper also newly installed. Speedometer showed 39,000 milesbut needle and speedometer cable were non-working. I installed a new correct speedometer and cable. Heater was rebuilt and rewired and works great. Seat was professionally re-upholstered and a new floor mat installed.
I rebuilt this truck as a dependable old piece of history to be driven and enjoyed. Great for around town. I went to get gas in it today, nd just kept driving for another 20 minutes because it was so much fun! I went on to the hardware store and when I came out, here was a very nice elderly couplereminiscing about one just like it when they were kids.
