Description of 1987 Chevrolet Camaro

Look around and you'll find that there just aren't many good collector cars for under $15,000. Now this 1987 Chevrolet Camaro may not be an investment, ut it's still V8-powered vintage fun at a very reasonable price. That price includes some pretty nice black paint, clean interior, nd plenty of performance that'll take you back to high school when gas was still under a buck.Originally two-tone black and silver, t was repainted a few years ago in all black and that was definitely the right choice. Now, ou already know how hard it is to make black cars look good, ut it sure looks like they either spent a ton of cash on the paint or had good base stock to start with, ecause this F-body is straight and shiny. They added some subtle red and silver stripe decals along the lower edges of the body, nd it makes the Camaro look even longer and leaner than it already is. A later spoiler on the rear deck gives it that aggressive Camaro look, ut the clean nose and rocker panels make it look almost like a shark, look we like a great deal. There are a few signs of use, f course, ut overall, his one looks a lot like the one you envied when you were in high school. Just imagine the life you could have led if this were your ride...Inside, here's a gray cloth bucket seat interior, nd even in 1987, amaros came pretty loaded up. The seats have only light signs of age and some stretching of the cloth upholstery, ut none of it needs immediate attention and it is still a great place to spend some time. The list of options and features includes functional A/C, tilt wheel, nd T-tops, hich transform this from simple muscle car to open-air fun machine you'll drive every Sunday when the sun is shining. There are very few squeaks in rattles in this particular Camaro, nother testament to its easy life, nd there's a powerful Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo installed in the center stack. We've always loved the third-gen Camaro's funky steering wheel, nd it frames a set of big analog gauges that work well to convey the critical information. The hatch area is quite clean and still includes the storage bags for the aforementioned T-tops, nd you're gonna need them!Power comes from the familiar LG4 305 cubic inch V8. With reasonable power and torque, t delivers the kind of muscle car fun that you'd expect from a Camaro. As a small block Chevy, t's also insanely easy to modify, ut it certainly appears that this one has been kept almost entirely stock, ood news for collectors and guys who don't want to buy someone else's used-up beater. The air cleaner lid is upside-down to perhaps let a little more air into the system, ut the rest is the way GM built it, ith lots of new equipment visible everywhere you look. The 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission also turns this small block V8 into a rather efficient machine, ulling down fuel economy in the low 20s if you're easy on the throttle. It's also emissions-legal just about everywhere thanks to a replacement catalytic converter and a nice-sounding exhaust system, nd even though it's a bit dirty under there, ou won't find any nasty surprises waiting for you on the chassis. Handsome 15-inch Eagle alloys add some flash and carry 215/65/15 front and 235/60/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials. No pedigree, ust a cool old Camaro that still gets appreciative glances as it rolls by. Add in some V8 power and those T-tops and you get a car that will bring back all the very best kinds of memories. Isn't that what it's all about? Call today!
