Description of 1968 Chevrolet El Camino Super Sport 396

Take a look at this real SS396 El Camino!!! Brings back memories of our old high school days! This one had a body off restoration!
The engine is a 1967 325 horse 396, t has Hookerceramic coated headers, intage M/T valve covers, n Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and Edelbrockcarburetor. Thepulleys were upgraded to the March serpentine belt set up, ith polished A/C compressor and power steering pump. The car runs and drives great, he exhaust sounds awesome. The turbo 400 transmission shifts firmthrough the gears. The 12 bolt posi rear end has 3:08 gears.
The body is all metal and the floors and frame are perfect. The underside was painted gloss black while the body was off the frame. The silver paint shines like it was just done but does have some minor chips.
The front suspension is allrebuilt, ith new bushings and new tie rods inners and outers, dler arm and shocks. The rear suspension has also had the bushings, hocks and springs replaced. The front disc brakes and rear drum brakes are all new. All brakes lines and fuel lines are new also. The vintage Crager wheels are wrapped with BF Goodrich tires, 95/50 15 in the rear and 245/60 15 in the front. The interiorupholstery is all new and looks great. The restoration was done approximately 10 years ago, ncluding the paint. I havereceipts for most of the work done and an album full of pictures documenting the restoration. It has been in storage and has only had about 100 miles put on during the span.
I am notlooking for high dollars, ome final touches are still needed. Overall this is a great car and a TRUE SS 396!
