Description of 1971 Chevrolet C-10 |
This is a 1971 Chevrolet C10 truck, heyenne trim package. It has had a long, ull life as a service truck for a local gas station in a small town in southeast Missouri. There is no telling how many jump start runs, lat fixing calls or trips to the local drive-in for lunch this truck has made. I grew up around this truck and when it came up for sale, ad to buy it. It is going to just sit here at our shop as we are to busy to do anything to it, o I want to see it go to a new home. 71 C10 with a small block engine, utomatic transmission and almost all options that were available. The engine was swapped out back in the late 80's if memory serves me correct, tarts runs, ould use a good tune up. It still has all the air conditioning equipment on it, on functioning of course, ut it is all still there. Has been swapped over to HEI, as an exhaust and could use a tune up. The carburetor was rebuilt back in May. The original fan shroud is still intact. It has an automatic trans, H350 I think and it does shift and pull the truck down the road. The body has had a long hard life and it does show. Every panel has a dent or rust, r both. The floor in the bed is almost gone, ust never sleeps. Rockers, ab corners,, ou get the idea. it needs it all. The windshield is cracked in several places. It has the bedside toolbox but there is a key broken off in it so we have not got into it. Did I mention the truck has rust??? The interior is the interior of a 44 year old shop truck. The steering wheel is down to the steel skeleton. It has an aftermarket cassette player (ask your Grandpa's) and the dome light actually works. The seat is broken down pretty good. This truck was driven and used like a real truck every day of it's life. It does have the full wheel covers,, t also does need tires,, ADLY. The truck starts, uns, rives, hifts, teers, nd stops like it should for it's age. Remember, t needs tires. This was a well optioned truck back in it's day and still has all those desirable parts intact. I thought hard and heavy about parting it out but just could not do it. To sum it up, ool truck, ong hard life, ll there, uns and drive, eeds what they all need,, ut, t is priced where you can buy it and still afford to tinker on it while driving and enjoying this classic. Did you check out that grill???? NICE..... |
