I guess that you could call this car a Resto Mod. Why? Well. listen to all the things that have been done to this car. For starters. this car started off as a true X-66 D80 car. Which means that is was a rare factory Big Block RS SS 396 Camaro Convertible with front and rear spoilers. If you Check out the Paint and trim codes. (72 and 720). you will see that it was a factory Hugger Orange Camaro. with Deluxe Orange Houndstooth Interior. SO. this Camaro was at the top of the Camaro chart when it was built back in 1969 by Chevrolet. Over $35K was paid for this car when it was found in a garage needing restored. It was purchased. taken apart. and restored back better than NEW. How. you might ask can it be better than New? Well. for starters. a Brand New GM 454-390 hp Alum. headed Big Block engine was ordered for it. Then a New 700R4 Automatic Overdrive Trans. and converter was bought for it. While it was apart. the factory sub-frame was blasted and Powder Coated Black. Four Wheel Power Disc Brakes were installed. along with every new bushing and mount. You can tell by the factory X brace that this car is a true convertible. Next. the factory GM 12 Bolt rear End was rebuilt with 3:73 Gears. and re-installed. A GM Serpentine Belt system was purchased and installed on the engine. Factory Exhaust manifolds were bought and had Flowmaster Mufflers added to give the car that awesome sound! The complete interior was re-done with correct Orange Deluxe interior. The correct Houndstooth Seat Covers were bought and installed. A Auto Custom Sound System with remote was bought and installed. All new gaskets and rubbers were installed. alone with new window bushings and felts. All handles and cranks were bought and installed. The Paint is PPG Base Coat Clear Coat. and is correct code 72 Hugger Orange. All the pans. both floor and trunk are like new. All body lines. hood. trunk. and doors line up Great! The factory Euro bumper was re-done and re-installed. along with a new chrome rear bumper. A new GM RS Grill was installed. and a Detroit Speed Electric Headlight Motor kit replaced the factory system. A GM Cowl Hood was purchased along with all new tail lights and marker lens. RESTO MOD! Well. you tell me. What else would anyone want in a Camaro? An RS SS Conv. . with a Big Block Alum. Headed Engine. 700R4 Overdrive trans. power steering. 4-wheel power disc brakes. A/C. Euro Front Bumper. Deluxe Houndstooth Interior. Auto Custom Sound System. Electric Headlight Kit. American Torque Thrust Wheels. and Beautiful Hugger Orange with a White Convertible Top! Talk about the Ultimate CAMARO! Well. here it is. Counting the purchase price. and the restoration. the last owner of this Camaro says that he had over $87K invested in this car. and it shows. This car has had around 500 miles put on it since restored. My wife and I took it down to the Turkey Rod Run last month and drove it every night to the Cruise Ins. It was Awesome! Everybody loves this car! It draws a croud where ever it goes. It drives awesome both around town. and on the interstate. Look at the pictures. This is one of the most Beautiful Camaro's anywhere! Great Look! Great Stance! Great Sound! and Great Driver! I might consider a trade on this car.
