Description of 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

A beautifully preserved rare red-on-red 1966 Stingray. always garaged and covered in warm and dry Souther California. This gorgeous car is a 327 V8 with 4-Speed manual transmission. The entire car is factory original with a beautifully performing 1966 small block putting out 300 horses. Valves have been fully modified for unleaded fuel. When parts have been replaced (e. g. the external alternator regulator) they have always been replaced with American made NOS. As a result of a minor fender bender in March of 2013 (a distracted driver backed into the front of the car while it was parked) the entire body was re-painted in the original Corvette Rally Red. As a result the body. paint and clear are virtually flawless. The photos show the original chrome knock-offs and side pipes - a rare combination on any Stingray. As can also be seen in the photos the interior is factory original and in truly excellent condition. All electronics--headlights. antenna. radio. windshield wipers--work beautifully and the coolant system was pressure tested in November 2014. The master cylinder is original and in beautiful condition. Under the hood you will find a very clean engine with an impressive list of matching parts. The vehicle was appraised by Gary Stone Appraisal Services in 2000 as "Good to Excellent" (copies available) and it's condition has only been improved from there with additional restoration efforts.
