Description of 1976 Chevrolet Nova |
This is very solid 1976 Nova with a 396 Big block bored out to a 402. It has a 350turbo transmission with a Hersch slap stick shifter. The rear end is a 4:11 and all around disc brakes (which need servicing). I have had it professionally rewired and will only need a the headlights and taillights finished up. The head light switch needs replacing and the tail light housings need to be installed. The engine was pulled out of a 69 Chevelle and rebuilt. I also installed a brand new gas tank and suspension. The gas tank pump needs to be wired up for the Fuel Gauge to work. Shouldn't be a hard job. The interior looks rough but this will just allow you to be creative with how you want it to look! I have a new tan dash pad. black headliner. and black interior trim that needs to be installed. They are brand new aftermarket molds so they can be repainted to any color. The exhaust system is a complete Flowmaster system (not sure of the exact pipes). I bought this car from a guy building it for amateur drag (it never seen a drag strip). The paint will need to redone since it was just a quick drag paint job. there are runs in the paint when looking close. However you won't find a straighter body than this. I have had several paint shops looking it over and all were very impressed with the condition of the body. It would need very little body work. Mechanically this car is ready to go! Cosmetically could use some help. However you won't be disappointed with its raw power. quickness. and smooth ride. It will need a new battery and tires however. About me:I am a US Navy veteran that bought this car as my dream car after being honorably discharged in 2009. I had full intentions to get this thing restored but it just hasn't happened because I've had no location to do the work and no time. I work full time and got to school full time so time is precious. Recently I have hit some very heavy financial burdens that can only be relieved by selling this car. I don't want to part with it but it must go. I am in my last year of school and can't pay for it. as I have exhausted all financial aid. Now my Jeeps transmission is going out. So as you can see I'm getting desperate. Reserve is set at what I feel as a fair price. If it doesn't reach reserve but I like your final bid I may contact you. Thanks for looking!Tyler |
