Description of 1934 Chevrolet Other STREETROD

THIS CAR IS BEING LISTED AT $1 WITH NO RESERVE. SO IT WILL SELL………. PLEASE HAVE YOUR FINANCES IN ORDER BEFORE BIDDING!!!!! This car was built in the 80’s in Iowa by Jim & LeAnne Larson (see photo of build tag). then was sold to a family in Missouri. The car faithfully carried its "family" from sea to shining sea and on vacations and extended cruises / shows runs / etc. Once the kids "grew up". the car was stored away around the mid-90's and kind of forgotten about for 20 years. I pulled the car out of storage recently and got it running / driving / stopping. It still does need to be gone through front to back and checked over for safety items before she hits the road again. but if you are handy that wouldn’t be that big of a deal. Here’s what I love about the car: Classic Hot Rod formula……Super cool 30’s car + Small Block Chevy + TH350 + Modern at the time front suspension / brakes + modern at the time rear end + Nice interior + Nice paint = Totally cool 80’s Street Rod!!!! Modern Rods are incredible with LS powertrains and super high tech suspension and tons of billet CNC’d goodies and electronic gadgets / air-ride / etc. ……But give me an 80’s style rod any day……. They are simple / fun / easy to source parts for…. And most of all anyone with some basic "car guy" knowledge you can work on them. Real deal steel 1934 Chevy 2 door sedan Do some basic updating / repairing and you can drive it almost right away Titled as a 1934 Chevy 2 door Chevy 283 V-8 (1967 vintage) with a 2 barrel carb. / HEI ignition…. Was told she’d do 25MPG’s out on the highway back in the day Chevy TH350 automatic transmission 1968 Camaro 10 bolt rearend with highway friendly gears I know the paint is a bit beat down with age………BUT if you look closely……. what you see is old paint over old primer over old steel………That’s it!!! Body is VERY solid and NOT rusty Nice comfy seats and reasonable legroom (not always the case with 30’S cars) Car has air conditioning (not working) Car has cruise control (not working) Corvair front suspension with rack&pinion steering True Spoke wire wheels (Western brand maybe?) Has a trailer hitch so you can bring everything you really don’t need with you Manual brakes and steering Have replaced master cylinder / rear wheel brake cylinders Flushed fuel system New plugs/wires If you are my age (40’s-50’s)…. THIS IS THE CAR that your dad WOULD have built……IF he had the money and IF your Mom would let him!!!!! When this car was originally done. it would have been a really cool and modern Street Rod. Personally I think it should be put back on the road and DRIVEN FOR ANOTHER 30+ YEARS!!! I have done the basic work to get it running / driving. but time and money and other commitments are not going to allow me to finish this car the way I want……. So here’s your chance!!! To buy a decent and solid 1934 Chevy these days. and then either build it or have a shop build it into a Street rod would be many times what you can buy this car for…. And you would have to wait forever to enjoy it. With this car you can work on it this Winter and be ready to hit the highway in Spring (if not sooner)!!! Here’s what I would want to know about the car before I bought it: Passenger side fenders are fiberglass. They aren’t all cracked up. they are good thick quality glass Windshield wiper is vacuum powered (old school)……You’ve been warned Windshield does have a fairly large rock chip (see pics) and drivers side glass is cracked Air conditioning stopped working years ago. so the owner just put a different belt on and bypassed the compressor…. Everything is still there though Cruise control doesn’t work Motor makes some noise (most noticeable when cold). sounds like it's on the passenger side. so may just be valvetrain. but haven't dug into it. I have a mildly built 350 that I wanted to run in the car Car runs and drives and stops. But no you can't drive it home Tires look new. and they were. 20 years ago CAR IS LOCATED IN QUINCY. IL (ZIP CODE 62301) CAR DOES NOT HAVE ANY KIND OF WARRANTY ALL SALES ARE FINAL IT’S UP TO YOU (THE BUYER) TO ARRANGE AND PAY FOR SHIPPING IF YOU AREN’T GOING TO PICK THE CAR UP IN PERSON…. I WILL WORK WITH THE TRANSPORT COMPANY TO MAKE SURE THAT THE CARS IS READY AND AVAILABLE WHEN THEY COME TO GET IT. IF YOU PICK THIS CAR UP IN PERSON I WILL ONLY TAKE CASH…. NO CHECKS OF ANY KIND IF YOU HAVE THE CAR SHIPPED TO YOU. YOU MUST PAY IN FULL IN ADVANCE BY CASHIER’S CHECK OR BANK TO BANK TRANSFER (WIRE TRANSFER)………. THE CAR CAN’T BE PICKED UP UNTIL THE MONEY IS IN MY HANDS.
