Description of 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle

I am listing my 1964Cheville Malibu SS Convertible. The car is a real SS as the VIN starts with 458 (1964didn't use the 138 yet). The car is NOT original and has many upgrades. It started life with a 283 andpower glide, ut now has a healthy 396 Big Block and Super T10 4 speed. (motor is from a 69chevelle, nd trans came from a 79 Z-28). I just put a new Mcleod clutch in about 500 miles ago. It also has new headers and new full flow master system and sounds pretty mean. The car is a lot of fun to drive and gets looks by everyone it passes. The braking system was upgraded to the newer, ower, ual master cylinder and front disc. It stops like a regular car now lol. The real eye catcher is the bright blue paint which I was told is from a mid 90's Corvette- Admiral blue. I believe the car was restored in the early 2000's and is starting to show its age. There are some dings, ubbles and scratches here and there but overall it looks great. The top is in really good condition, he power motor isn't working so I just have my wife help me put it up and down (I have a brand !new motor in the box). The interior is original and in pretty good shape for its age, t was originally light blue and someone dyed it white with dark blue accents to match the outside. It looks good anddoesn't have any rips but is starting to wear. The wheels are 60's replica Cragar S/S but they are 17's not old school 14's. the car runs and drives great and I drive it almost every day. There are a couple of things it could use, ight now the lifters are a bit noisy, haven't had a chance to pull the valve covers and adjust them. The tail lights are grounded by the socket and after 52 years the are kinda loose so the left rear turn/blinkerworks sporadically, meant to order new LED units but never did. The plastic switch behind the steering wheel probably cracked because you have to hold the stalk down for the left turn signal to work. all of this is pretty minor considering the cars age. The top of the 1/4 panel in the trunk has the VIN stamped so I believe the car has its original metal. These boxed frame convertibles are known for massive frame rot. The frame is really clean except for 1 small soft spot under the drivers door. It's really small and on the flat bottom so its in a really easy spot to repair I just never bothered. If you wanted a real SSrestomod with a big block 4speed you'd expect to pay $40-50,000. This carisn't perfect but has the looks of a big dollar ride for a fraction of the price, id to own.... NO RESERVE.
