Description of 1948 Chevrolet Other Pickups

Up for true auction, o reserve, s a 1948 3800 Chevrolet pick up truck. This truck has some of the best patina I've ever seen come out of the Midwest. This truck has some great bones on her. The body lines are straight and true. Doors open as they should and close properly. Dash is all there including the cigarette ashtray. Bench would need recovered but I'm amazed it's not torn to pieces. Headlights and trim rings are original. Marker lights are there and not cracked. Bumper marker lights are complete also. Bumper not dented and the chrome is looking really good for it's age.The running board are solid and withstands my weight when I jump in and out of the truck, weigh 200 lbs by the way. Sheet metal is really straight. The only rust problem is the drivers cab corner. The wood of the bed is all there and not rotted away. Underneath the truck the wood bed looks really good and intact with original hardware. Frame is solid, o rust holes. Truck amazingly has been holding air in the tires the whole time it has been sitting. Tail gate is there but with a couple of dents, ot rusted thru. Hood opens and closes as it should. Engine is missing the head and valve cover, verything else in the engine compartment is there. Includes horn, ir cleaner, oil, attery tray, o rust holes. Super original just needs head and valve cover.
I hope this is a good description of this truck. Incredible condition and an easy restoration or daily driver with minimal effort.
