For sale is a 1978 L82 4-Speed Corvette Silver Anniversary Edition w/T-Tops. This was my dad's car that he purchased in the early 1990's. It has matching numbers and 77k original miles. He rebuilt it at 60k front to tail with poly suspension, beautiful factory finish silver clear coat and black leather and carpet interior. It has been garage stored ever since. It runs great and sounds amazing. I received it a couple of years ago and have put about 50 miles on it, tarting it periodically. Below is his description of some of the things he did to it, ictures and a video of it. If you have any questions, lease email me. I'm flexible and can accommodate any shipping scenario.
it's the better performance L8, not stock and orig 4sp rock crusher..all new clutch n stuff.....will need power steering pump as i adjusted to max and never got around to replacing(stock 40 year chevy part)
had all new parts n heads worked, umps n timing......while at it had it taken just 10 over making it legally a 358 (nascars V8 bore) which is really not much and show it wasn't any piston or valve ditty...
A couple of items I noticed while driving it were the following - The steering feels loose. It doesn't respond and feels loose from 11 to 1 o'clock. I'm not sure if that is common in this type of vehicle. The second issue I noticed is the transmission slipped from 3rd to neutral on its own a couple of times while driving at normal speeds. Other than those two I haven't noticed any problems with it.
