Description of 1961 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 |
1961 Chevrolet Biscayne 1961 BISCAYNE TWO DOOR SEDAN SQUAD CAR EXTERIOR: This Black beauty was made up as a lawenforcement squad car from the 60's with spot and traffic warning lights. The whip antenna on the back quarter is infact connected to a vintage Motorola police radio. It has the badging of a 348 Big Block car but is a 6cyl engine car. In 1961 these fleetline cars were known to be lighter than the Impala versions and were prefered by the drag racers whom called them "Bisquick's" for their superior track performances over the slightly heavier Impala trimed cars. INTERIOR: It has a correct newer no frills gray Biscayne interior with the addition of the rear facing traffic light in the rear window and vintage motarola police radio head unit on the dash and the radio is bolted in the trunk. MECHANICS: a 235 six cylinder engine and motivated by an automatic transmission this car cruises down the highway nicely. UNDERCARRIAGE: Super solid underside.
