Description of 1967 Chevrolet C-10 SHORT BED |
Up for sale today is this super two owner vehicle. I bought this c-10 from the original owner in June of 2015. It has spent its entire life here in theCarolinas. Initially this was going to be my sons commuter to school but he wants a mustang now-go figure.Thereis the reason for selling.Idrove it home the day I bought it-but as I was driving it-I noticed it needed some attention in several areas. I first washed the outside to reveal a blue-green color. The chalky appearance wiped right off.Looks like it was re-sprayed a dark blue-then later a dull green color. I believe the original color was baby blue with white top. It looks good and could be top coated now.I think you could get down to the original colors with acetone if you really wanted to. Then I tackled the brake system. Everything from the brake pedal to the wheel cylinder was replaced. I replaced the original exhaust manifold with a good aftermarket one to retain the built in heat riser. I re-did the exhaust system with s simple cherry bomb. It sounds good. I also replaced the original radiator with a good aftermarket aluminum one. Everything on this truck works except for the windshield washer motor. It is there and could be rebuilt or replaced. All the lights work including the dome lamp-blinkers, ash lights, orn, unning lights, eater, etc. I installed a simple radio with ipod hookups and a cig lighter to charge my phone. I replaced the original wheels and tires with what you see now. I also took out the original bench seat and installed a second row seat from a ford excursion. I have all the original parts if you want them with the sale. I installed pressure treated deck boards in the bed. They can be removed if you so desire-but they make loading a breeze. Door bottoms and rockers replaced by previous owner. New weather stripping installed. Could use glass rubber and guides. Typical rust everywhere else. Solid frame with no repairs or breaks noted. The engine, ransmission, nd drivetrain in this vehicle work flawlessly. The miles stated appear to be actual. These 250's with manual transmissions are bulletproof and will run forever. Newly rebuilt carburetor. You can drive this truck anywhere without a bit of worry. She shifts and runs perfect. I had a local mechanic replace the clutch, ressure plate, hrow out bearingwith all new. I also had him put Lucas in the rear end and transmission. You can fly in and drive this truck home no problem. If youwin the bidon this truck-please understand that a 500.00 deposit into paypal will be required. Cash or certified check due upon closing. I expect the transaction to be completed within three days-so please be serious when bidding. Thisis a great opportunity to get into the c-10 world with an awesome base. Please ask questions and I can forward more photos. This truck is legally insured and is on the road as we speak. Not many of this year were made as short beds. |
