Description of 1950 Chevrolet Other Deluxe |
1950 Chevrolet Fleetline Remanufactured 350 with th350 Finned valve covers (older) and air filter cover (new) tall studs (new) 12v conversion, pdated Kwik wire kit 10 Bolt Rear, New plastic gas tank with electric fuel pump New Flex Fan and belt New Holley 4160 600 cfm carb, as not had final adjustment but runs good. slight hesitation if you hit it to hard. Probably float adjustment. I just took it out of the box and bolted it on. New fuel pressure gauge with filtered inlet New mini Starter New plugs New MSD Blaster 2 chrome coil New Performance Distributor LiveWire plug wires on the way (purple) New plugs New rotor cap and shaft seal. Malory electronic ignition Aluminum radiator (trans cooler inlet is striped so a new 15 inch finned trans cooler was added. New rubber with steel core Fel-Pro valve cover gaskets New intake gaskets New thermostat and removable seal New water hoses New trans mount block. Lokar floor shifter with rev lockout and safety switch. Fresh rebuilt original front end w/new shocks. All parts of the front end were removed, leaned, rimed, ainted and replaced if needed. All new rubber, ing pins, ushings, dler arm, oots, way bar bushings .... everything. Undercoated the wheel wells and painted the exposed frame. All the brakes look new as well as hoses and lines. All rear lines were recent and replaced when the rear suspension was done. This included New Speedway rear springs, ounts and bushings, ear end removed stripped and painted with new perches. Shocks could probably be replaced. Working gas gage with voltage reducer, il pressure, igh beam ind, ftermarket temp gauge. Speedo works too. Rear license plate lights where rebuilt with newer style bulbs. Front parking lights completely disassembled restored and put back. New turn signal switch w/flasher. Both fronts blink together when turn signals are on and I have not hat time to research that issue yet. Back blinkers and brake lights work as they should. New hi/low dual horns with under dash button Sounds great! All new rubber seals for windshield and back glass. Still needs vent rubber. New Felt channels and whisker strips for side glass. Nice painted engine compartment with like new drivers side vent tube. New rubber on that. Missing the passenger side tube with heater core. Nice upholstery, decent paint with ghost flames. Paint was done before I got it and is definitely amateur but presentable. Could stand to be buffed out. Older restoration so it has chips and a couple small dings etc. Chrome is ok as well as trim. Smoothed hood. Not a show car, ice driver. I did see some patch panels were added to the rear quarters on each side when I was doing the rear side window felts. Looks do be done right with correct replacements. Could stand front floor pans. Good radial tires all around. Front P195/75 R15 A/S Radial, ear P245/60 R15 GT Radial Older Chrome steel rims with some rust spots but presentable. Needs ...Something near the trans or shifter(?) clicks at crawl speeds.. I had a transmission shop look it over and they said they found no issue. Adjustment? Or a vibration it the shifter? They did seal the speedo gear housing and new rear seal with bushing. It has been this way since I have owned it and has not caused me any issue. No wiper motor or heat. I do have the under dash heater motor(6 volt) and switches/cables but they are off the car. Easy to bolt back on but you will need to relocate the horn button. And as stated above, I do not have the vent tube with built in heater core. I do have the valve that mounts to the firewall although I can not state condition. Some wiper parts are still there but no motor or switch (only the dash knob remains). And again, ront turn signals both blink. Probably a ground issue under the dash. Minor stuff. See it run here ... YouTube Drive Video You can hear the tick I was referring to.
