Description of 1967 Chevrolet Corvette |
1967 Corvette Coupe custom ‘wide body' -- the flares have carefully retained the GM stock body lines, ut added 4 inches in total allowing it to run 16 x 10" Halibrand GT-40s. (Two sets of wheels are available with the car.) Equipped with P/S and P/B, intage Air. It has a high-rise 1966 hood. The engine is a 383 stroker built for high torque, acked by a Tremec 5 speed and Centerforce clutch, nd headers. Tremec has low 1st gear and high 5th cruising highway is at 1800 rpm (gets 25 mpg!). The original rebuilt Muncie transmission is available. Paint is in beautiful condition (stock Marina Blue with a broad white stripe and red pin-striped edges), ith minor stress cracks at the door pillars. The seats (with headrests) have been customized in black leather with blue inserts and the car has the optional shoulder harnesses. The interior is cherry, heels are cherry, ngine is cherry. This car has won Best Paint, est In Show and many 1st places in car show competition. It has been featured in Corvette Fever magazine and in a number of Corvette calendars. It handles like a go-cart, s the suspension is Autocross Design. Door fitment is excellent, indow trim and windshield are tight with no leaks, ashboard is entirely stock. I have owned this car since 1984; I bought it with 95,000 miles on it and it was my daily driver for many years. It has never been in an accident and has been meticulously maintained. Unfortunately, t has become a "garage queen" due to my bad knee and it is time for someone else to enjoy it. |
