Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Bel Air

1957 Chevrolet Bel Air for sale. This is a true V8 C Code Bel Air

I recently purchased this from a gentleman who had owned it for 28 years. He bought the carin 1987 and told me that hehasn't done anything to itother than small repairs and regular maintenance. He rarely drove the car but took good care of it always, araged and covered. That being said, hatever bodywork, aint, hrome, nterior etc., ork was done prior to 1987 and it still looks awesome. It does haveits scratches and chips as can be seen in video and pics. Watch the walk around video

It has a 283 2 bbl. with a 3 speed manual on the floor. This car is a blast to drive. Runs perfect, hifts fine, tops like it was designed to and goes down the road good. Some play in the steering but I think that is to be expected. Nothing unusual or noisy, eels as it should. All of the lights, linkers, ipers work. No heat and horn button not working although tested horns and they do work. The motor may be the original 283. I included a pic of the engine pad stamping, aybe someone can decode it better than I.

The paint is Tropical Turquoise and Imperial Ivory with matching interior. Bucket seats and stereo console. Looks excellent inside and out considering it all was done 30 years ago. It has the factory Cool Ray tinted glass which looks great with the blue. As you can see there is no rust at all on the outside. The floors, ockers, rame, runk, uarters, enders, ear splash pan, nder the hoodall look excellent and pretty clean. The bad news is that it looks like every body brace is rusted. I asked around and was told that these are spot welded in and are thinner than other body parts, ence don't hold up as well. They are all available throughvarious venders at a cost of about 300.00 for all of them. A few of themhave transferred some rust into the inner rocker where it is spot welded so small inner rocker pieces should be installed if you decide to repair them. That's the worst of it period. I included many pics of the underside. It also looks like it may have been hit at the drivers rear tire area. It's all metal but they could have gotten it a little straighter. I also took pics of that area. Not bad but I feel I have to mention it. It's not a show car...

Bottom line, ou can get in this car without doing a thing and drive it anywhere, ruises, ocal shows. It's a great looking Bel Air the way it sits.
