This is a Mosport Green with Green interior two top Corvette convertible. It is mostly original including the paint. the white convertible top. the interior. and believed to be the original numbers matching L79 350 horsepower 327. Muncie 4 speed transmission and 3. 70:1 positraction rear-end. This Corvette was owned by the same person from 1967 until 2006 and was never restored. It still has the original interior. seats. carpet. door panels. dash. and seat belts and soft top. It even has the original exhaust system although the mufflers have been changed with correct GM parts dated 1979. The mosport green lacquer paint is almost all original and has aged gracefully. There are the normal small chips and scratches that happen over the 50 year time period but overall it looks very good. There is a small repair in the passenger rear section next to the taillights that according to the pictures happened in about 1968. It was repaired by the owner at the time and has not been redone since and remains a part of the car’s history. It can be seen in the pictures. Other than cleaning and a light polish the paint has been left the same as when we bought this car. The odometer shows 26. 30 miles. However it stopped working in the summer of 1969 but the speedometer kept working so it was never repaired. The actual miles are estimated to be 42. 00 to 45. 00 based on previous owner estimates from records they maintained of gas purchases. It was ordered from the factory with many options including; L-79 327/350hp engine 4 speed transmission 3:70 positraction rear axle Power Steering Power Brakes Power Windows K66 Transistor Ignition ( this is the first 350HP we have seen with the TI option)AM/FM Radio Telescopic Steering Column Auxiliary hardtop. With the exception of the reproduction aluminum knock-off wheels and Goldline tires that had been added to this three owner Corvette it is almost as original as it was when it left the St. Louis assembly plant. Mosport Green was available for one year only which makes it a very desirable color. This is a true Bloomington Gold Survivor and possible Bow Tie and Benchmark candidate.
