LOOK NO FURTHER, OU HAVE JUST COME ACROSS ONE OF THE MOST UNIQUE AND 1 OFF 1955 CHEVY BEL AIRS TO ENTER THE MARKET. THIS 1955 CHEVY BEL AIR IS NOT JUST A 2 DOOR HARDTOP, ND ITS NOT JUST A CONVERTIBLE, TS BOTH. THATS RIGHT, OU CAN ENJOY BOTH WORLDS WITH THIS CAR. PUT THE TOP ON AND ITS A BEL AIR 2 DOOR HARDTOP, AKE THE TOP OFF AND YOU HAVE A CONVERTIBLE. JUST LIKE THE OLD T-BIRDS. I HAVE ONLY SEEN ONE OTHER HARDTOP CONVERTIBLE AND IT WAS FEATURED IN SUPER CHEVY MAGAZINE. THIS CAR NEEDS TO BE FEATURED IN A MAGAZINE AND YOU COULD BE THE ONE TO HAVE IT DONE. A SHORT HISTORY ABOUT ME, HIS CAR, ND HOW I ENDED UP WITH IT. I AM A CAR ENTHUSIAST/SMALL DEALER LOCATED IN SOUTHEAST MISSOURI AND I BUY RARE, OOL, ND UNIQUE CARS AND TRUCKS. IVE DONE ALOT OF VERY NICE BUILDS OVER THE YEARS THAT ARE STILL FLOATING AROUND THE INTERNET AND I GET CALLS ABOUT ALL THE TIME. ANYHOW, BOUGHT THIS CAR A COUPLE YEARS AGO FROM A SMALL DEALER IN SOUTHWEST MISSOURI, HICH HE HAD ACQUIRED ON TRADE. THE OWNER THAT TRADED THE CAR IN HAD THE CAR PROFESSIONALLY BUILT AND RESTORED SEVERAL YEARS BACK AND IT STARTED TO SHOW ITS AGE. IT WAS A NICE CAR AND HAD NO RUST AT ALL WHEN I RECEIVED IT BUT IT HAD BEEN USED AS A DRIVER AND HAD A LITTLE WEAR AND TEAR ON THE BODY. I COULD'VE FLIPPED THE CAR FOR A FEW BUCKS AT THAT POINT AND WENT ON BUT I JUST COULD'NT LET IT GO. THE CAR ENTHUSIAST IN ME HAD TO BRING THE CAR BACK TO THE BEST IT COULD BE, HICH I THINK I'VE DONE JUST THAT. THE BODY OF THE CAR WAS TOTALLY STRIPPED AND REPAINTED A BEAUTIFUL SILVER/BLACK COMBO USING HIGH END BASE COAT/CLEAR COAT PAINT. I PURCHASED ALL NEW BUMPERS, RILLE, IRRORS, IDE TRIM, OOR HANDLES, TC. THE LS1 MOTOR/TRANS, HICH I WAS TOLD IS FROM A 2004 CORVETTE, AS ALREADY IN THE CAR WHEN I RECEIVED IT. IT SOUNDS LIKE IT HAS A LITTLE BIT BIGGER CAM THAN STOCK INSTALLED, LONG WITH CERAMIC HEADERS AND A GREAT SOUNDING EXHAUST. THE CAR LACKED AC WHEN I BOUGHT IT, O I PURCHASED AND INSTALLED THE NEWEST VINTAGE AIR SYSTEM AND OPTED FOR ALL CHROME ACCESSORIES. THE INTERIOR AND SOUND SYSTEM YOUR SEEING WAS IN THE CAR WHEN I BOUGHT IT, ND IS TOP NOTCH AND FLAWLESS. I DID, OWEVER, WAP OUT A DVD HEAD UNIT THAT WAS PREVIOUSLY INSTALLED FOR THE VINTAGE LOOKING RADIO YOU SEE IN THE PICTURES. THE CHROME 18/20 WHEELS AND NITTO TIRES HAD JUST BEEN INSTALLED BY THE PREVIOUS OWNER AND ARE LIKE NEW. THE CAR HAS POWER BRAKES WITH DISCS UP FRONT. IT ALSO HAS POWER STEERING. THE LOWERED SUSPENSION AND ADJUSTABLE SHOCKS MAKE THIS CAR HANDLE GREAT AND VERY SMOOTH. I WOULD NOT BE HESITANT TO TAKE THIS CAR ACROSS COUNTRY. THIS CAR IS A HIT AT THE CAR SHOWS I HAVE TAKEN IT TO, ND I HAVE ENJOYED MY TIME WITH THE CAR BUT NOW ITS TIME FOR A NEW OWNER TO DO THE SAME.
