Description of 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

1972ChevroletChevelle SS402 Big BlockU vin codeF41 Suspension12 Bolt RearTrue Warehouse FindProject
Classic Chevelle paint color of Cranberry Red. Cowl tag shows it to be an original Cranberry Red Chevelle with no vinyl. At some point someone did add a white vinyl top. Not sure why, I guess people were vinyl top crazy in the 70's. Lol
Interior was originally a White bucket seat console combination, that someone ending up painting the seats and panels black. Again, not sure why someone would paint white interior, probably goes back to the crazy 70's. The dash is in good condition, and hasn't been hacked up. Dash doesn't have a seat belt dummy light because it's an early build 72 SS. Look at the cowl tag for build date confirmation. The rear seat looks original and might still have the build sheet in it. Any parts I have are pictured in front of the SS in a picture with the back seat. I forgot to picture the drive shaft, the starter, and the rear window. Those will obviously come with the SS too.The 402 Big block pad is numbers matching to the vin #. The radiator support also has the 402 decal. The vin # also has the "U" digit to signify it's a true 402 car. This is an original A/C car with most if not all of its smog equipment still attached. You don't see that too often. Must have been the greenest big block out there in 72! The trans does have the CD code which is the correct trans, But I believe it's not the original trans. The 12 bolt rear axle does seam to be original to the Chevelle. Sorry, I'm not the best at rear axle decoding. In my opinion the frame, hood, roof, trunk floor, and most of floors are pretty solid. Please review all pictures, ask for more if needed, and/or come and see this classic before bidding on this Chevelle.
All 5 of the wheels look to be the original SS wheels. The all have the oval valve opening that Chevelle's have oppose to the round valve openings that Camaro's have.
Glass is all there. The rear window isn't pictured in the ad, but I do have it.
Again, the frame, hood, trunk floor, roof, and most of the floors are solid in my opinion. The passenger front floor and behind the front seat floors look pretty decent to me. The section underneath the rear seat needs work. The driver side front floor has a "Joe Dirt" highway sign patch repair. The fenders have rot behind the wheels. Passenger rear quarter panel needsreplacement. The rear bumper was bumped/hit at some point. I took pictures of the rear frame side rails and they look straight to me. The A pillars seam salvageable to me. Please understand that these are my opinions of the body. I ask you to look at all the pictures, ask for any more you need, and/or come and see this SS project in person to form your own opinion. Once you are comfortable please bid then, and not prior to feeling satisfied.
Bottom lineis that this a True 1972 Chevelle Super Sport 402 Big Block Cranberry Red White Bucket Seat console A/C classic that is worth bringing back to its original glory. Please bid on this vehicle if you're completely comfortable with purchasing this vehicle.
