1968 Chevy Corvette Restomod unfinished frame off project runs and drives its 90% done! Heres the story with this car it started life as a super clean orignal factory 327/350 HP 68 4 speed corvette convertible. The owner descided he wanted to build a crazy street car and do to health reasons he never finished the project and it has sat for the past 5 years or so untouched. The body was removed from the frame new fuel and brakes lines installed, frame was painted and solid body mounts were installed. The engine from what im told is a Crazy 600HP Aluminum Head 383 Engine with forged internals, full MSD with rev limiter, electirc water pump etc (this motor sounds insane only thing i can compare it to would be a nascar sound) it matched to Viper 6 Speed Transmission with a crazy clutch (heavy clutch not for the fant of heart!) and a beefed up rear end with 4:56 gears with some sort of center torque bar link (all custom never seen anything like it) all i did was put a battery in it and she fired right up and it does go into gear and stops from what i was told theres like $30,000 in the drive train and that the tranny alone is close to 10 grand. The body itself is in fantastic shape the paint that hasnit been messed with is super clean but there are spots on the car where they did some sanding why i dont know so you maybe able to get away with doing some blends and not repainting the whole car. It looks like the chrome bumpers on the car were replaced with new a few years back. All the wiper door parts are in the back of the car with a pair of new headlight accuators. The complete white soft top assembly comes with the car and is in great shape! The side pipes are brand new ($2500 alone). The interior is orignal dash gauges center console are all mint even the orgnal radio is there, the door panels are worn, no carpet but has a new rear compartment assembly. There is also a box of extra parts included with the car new seat belts, some used parts some NOS stuff. This car is an unfinish project and being sold AS-IS what you see is what you get! I tried to discribe it to the best of my abilty and from information i was told but i have no paper work or recpits for any work done. There are NO titles in NY for cars older than 1973 so the car will be sold with a bill of sale, but i do have a copy of the last regestraion. Questions call 631-629-2082
