1963 Chevy factory 4x4 fleet side short bed. Most of this truck is original. The original Rockwell transfer case has been replaced with a NP205 divorced transfer case from a Dodge and the linkage was custom made by a local welder. The transmission is the original 420 4-speed. I have added power steering. The rear drive line was replaced some time ago. The e-brake is non-functional. The speedometer as well as the rest of the factory dash gauges are also non-functional. The gas tank sending unit does not function. The heater works but has to be operated by pulling a cable that is coming through the firewall. The steering wheel is from a newer model Chevy truck. The engine is a newer 350 with Hooker headers and a Edelbrock four barrel carburetor. The 4-bolt main engine runs strong. It also has roller rockers and 270 camshaft. The tiers are Bridgestone 33x12.50 A/T Duelers with decent tread left. I have a Clarion AM/FM cassette radio in the cab with two 6x9 speakers. Has an aftermarket Mallory tachometer and aftermarket water temperature gauge. The truck runs great and as far as I know, everything mechanically ( with the exception of the e-brake ) works. It has been sitting in a garage for over five years. I start it every once in a while, but do not drive it at all. I believe the front and rear axles have 3:73 gearing. The bed wood is completely gone. The paint is in bad shape. There are rust spots in various places as well as hood and fender damage. I'm sure that the weatherstripping needs replacing. When I bought this, the original 1963 grill was missing and this 1964-1966 grill was in it's place. The truck also features two aftermarket back up lights. This truck is by no means perfect and I am sure I missed a few things in this description. It will take a lot of TLC to make it a nice road worthy truck. A great project truck. Vehicle sold as is. Serious bidders only please.
