Description of 1973 Chevrolet Other Vega Cosworth Stroker |
1973 Chevy Vega Z09 2.3 Stroker Custom Cosworth Euro-Style Build PLEASE READ THIS SENTENCE FIRST: I've invested several hours to write this description and took 100 photographs, so please have the courtesy to take 15 minutes to read every word below and view every photo before contacting me or hitting the buy-it-now button, thank you. History: This Vega was all stock and all original with less than 40,000 miles 10 years ago when the transformation started. It spent the majority of its life in southern Ohio with the original female owner. It was always in good condition with a rust free undercarriage. I have a copy of the original title, registration stamps throughout the years, and additional title/registrations to verify ownership history and mileage, all of which will be included with the other paperwork. The Cosworth instrument cluster and odometer from donor car #1054 read 64,000 miles and was installed at 41,000 miles, so you always subtract 23,000 miles from Cosworth odometer to get the correct miles for the body. Below is a brief history and all the details about the car... 1st Owner Ohio: - 1973 to 2002, all stock and original 2nd Owner Ohio: - 2002 to 2003, all stock and original 3rd Owner Ohio: - 2003 to 2008, mostly stock and original 4th Owner Illinois: - 2008 to 2016, modifications performed 5th Owner Pennsylvania: - Miscellaneous repairs, changes and additions Engine: - 1975 Z09 Cosworth Vega 2.0 liter #1054 had 64,000 miles Transmision: - BorgWarner T-50 dogleg 5-speed manual Rear Axle: - 1975 Cosworth Vega with 68,000 miles Exhaust: - Factory header with ceramic coating Suspension: - New control arm bushings front and rear Interior: - 1975 Cosworth Vega with 68,000 miles in excellent condition Body: - 45,000 original miles Issues: - Bumpers are original and in good condition but have nicks, scratches, scrapes, dings, etc Miscellaneous: Selling for health reasons (concussion issues). The car is priced to sell. These 1st generation Vega's sell for $4k to $6k in rough condition. It would cost you $20k to build this car not including labor (nice original car + paint + Cosworth donor car + engine work + transmission and parts + suspension + trim parts + all other parts). It comes with owners manuals, shop manual, tech manuals, ownership history, car show display card, a bunch of Cosworth newsletters, car cover and a few extra parts (Linenberger transmission, spare ECM, 2 matching tires, handfull of small parts). I have a clean PA Title in my name ready to be signed and notarized upon payment. Please don't forget to read Terms of Sale below...
