Up for auction is a 1966 Chevy C10 pickup truck. This truck was bought new on 6/27/1966 at David Gold Chevrolet in Manchester Tennessee… the new owner was Clyde Rounsavill and he owned the truck until 1980 when it was bought by Steve Leroy of Chattanooga Tenn.… he owned the truck until recently when the C10 was purchased and then custom built into the Street Rod/Hot Rod that it is today. The build was just completed a couple weeks ago. The trucks name is Leroy.

As you can see, the body was left in its original patina condition and it really has great patina and character. This style of street rod in the original patina has really became popular over the past few years and this truck gets lots of attention as you can imagine!

Leroy has a great stance with 3” drop spindles on the front and 4” drop coil springs on the rear. The wheels are 20” Ridlers. The wood bed kit in this truck is actually brand new but stained to look old and match the truck, with the original bed strips used. The bolts were not salvageable therefore the bolts are new.

The engine is a 2000 Silverado LS Vortec 5300 LM7/285hp with a 4L60E automatic overdrive transmission. The rear end is a Chevy 12 bolt with 3.08 gear. The truck runs and drives great and it is a blast to drive for sure. The front clip is an 80 Chevrolet truck with stock disc brakes on the front and Checkered Racing disk brakes on the rear. It has a new gas tank and sending unit as well.

Inside the truck has the original stock seat recovered and the original gauges all working including the speedometer thanks to the Dakota digital speedometer conversion box. All of the lights and turn signals work correctly and Leroy is ready to go.

This is the ultimate Hot Rod/Street Rod with the LS motor and the overdrive transmission and the cold AC…. Just right for cruising and this truck draws a lot of attention.

If you have been paying attention to the old truck market then you probably already know that the vintage long bed pickups are the “New Cool” to have. They are “in” right now and for how long who knows but for now they are desirable so don’t miss out on this super cool 1966 Chevy C10 Street Rod/Hot Rod truck. You will love it for sure!
