Fresh off the farm 1970 Chevrolet CST 10 2wd long box pickup. This is a factory big block, turbo 400, 12 bolt posi, hugger orange truck with A/C. Motor has 87000 miles on it and has never been out of truck, transmission was removed and rebuilt in 2012. I bought this from a rancher close to where i live in Montana. I was told the wiring to the starter was bad and he parked it somewhere around 2013. I got it home put a new battery in it and it cranked(obviously not a wiring problem to the starter) so i thought i would clean the carb, change the plugs and add some fuel and see what happened. It now runs and idles after it warms up but its rough and has a leak in the radiator which is why i believe he parked it in the first place. I did pressure wash the engine before i worked on it so it may be wet somewhere or have a bad wire or points or something and the gas is still yellow and smells very old even though i added new i didnt drain and clean the tank so its possible it just needs a tuneup or some better gas. It does hold great oil pressure and i didnt hear any knocking or smoking but exhaust is as good as not having any so its hard to tell. Motor is surprisingly clean when looking in the breather hole. Ive only ran it for a total of maybe 10 minutes. Its rebuildable for sure that much is safe to assume, The good is i did drive it and the transmission works great and has 3 firm shifts and reverse so it was rebuilt, that part was true i believe. It shifts firmer than a stock turbo 400. Brakes are power assist and in working order and power steering is working as well. It has rear leaf springs not coils like some and has a 12 bolt posi trac rearend. Missing some of the a/c stuff. Truck does have some rust mostly in the normal lower areas and cab supports under truck need some work but repairable, firewall, roof gutters, inside of doors and frame are not rusty. Please look at the pic of the glove box for options of this truck, it is getting hard to find these trucks anymore and this one is very restorable and sheet metal is cheap for these. It will start and drive on a trailer to be shipped but is not roadworthy at this time, its old and needs work. I have a clear title signed and notorised from the guy i bought it from ready to be signed by a new owner. I have been as honest as i can about this truck good luck and i hope it goes to a good home and gets restored. Feel free to make me an offer to end listing as it is for sale locally as well. First come first serve. Thanks
