Description of 1972 Chevrolet C-10 Cheyenne

All classic cars have an allure, but the right vintage pickups have that extra attraction of being a timeless connection to an unspoken bond where man and machine rely on each other for a hard day's work. That's why we absolutely love this 1972 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne. Powerful, handsome, and like it left the Chevy showroom back in '72 ready to work or play; this extremely well restored pickup is a head-turner that still knows how to earn a living.Two-tone has always been a distinctive style on vintage pickups. On this bow tie, it emphasizes the C10's clean, straight lines, and gives these former workhorses a feeling of sophistication. It also helps that the orange and white paintwork was applied recently, so this classic truck benefits from a modern clearcoat, and boy does it look great! Because this is a higher-level Cheyenne trim, it comes with some nice extra body chrome, including the upper and lower body side accents. In fact, the lower one still wears its factory-correct 70s-cool wood strip within the brightwork, and this premium design touch continues on the tailgate, too. Even the bright hubcaps have that original 70s flair. But just because this is a shining star, don't be afraid to load it up with weekend projects if you desire. The fiberglass topper looks period-correct, so it doesn't ruin the vintage pickup appeal. Instead, it allows you to do everything from protecting a project for the home trim, to the perfect accessory for a weekend camping trip. Inside the same two-tone theme continues, and this one is so nice we are having a tough time deciding if it's part of the high quality restoration, or just exceptional maintenance. The highly detailed Cheyenne bench looks outstanding in pristine white. This is vinyl, so if you do have a messy mistake, it will regain its pearly status with just a quick wipe down. The door panels look handsome with the white, orange, and a bit of wood paneling. The factory wheel still has a great textured feel with no cracks, and beyond that is the clear full gauge package. And there's even provisions for air conditioning. The engine bay proves those fender callouts aren't lying. The 350 cubic-inch small block V8 looks great with all of its correct Chevy orange and black components. You can tell the restoration was about getting this to look as factory-fresh as possible, which is something people love to see these days. But more than just appearance, the casting numbers hint at this possibly being the original powerplant. The V8 is mated to a sturdy TH350 three-speed automatic that sends power to a stout 12-bold rear end. 1972 C10s are really sought-after because this was the final year for this desirable body style. Consequently, it's also the last opportunity at the trailing arm rear suspension, which helps makes these Chevys ride much smoother than most other vintage pickups. Add in power steering and front disc brakes, and this truck might be a hauler, but it's also an extremely clean Sunday car show cruiser. An extremely high quality vintage truck at an unbeatable price; you can easily justify this purchase simply because it'll be both a tool and a jewel in your garage. And with the colors and quality, it's already getting a ton of attention. Call today!
