Description of 1970 Chevrolet Camaro

Original 1970.5 Z28 Camaro. Mulsanne blue with black deluxe interior. Manual steering with M20 manual transmission. This car was built in Van Nuys Ca. NCRS report says it was sent to Central Chevrolet in Freemont, Ca. Car was in southern/central California until I bought it and restored it. As you'll see in the pics I didn't spare any expense in doing the car.The body/underside is immaculate, still retaining original subframe, floors, trunk and rear quarter panels. The careven had the original exhaust and tailpipes on it as well when I purchased it. There was no scaleor surface rust on any of the components before the extensive restoration.

The paint on the car is fresh, show quality andlaser straight with a brilliant shine. I did have the rear of the car striped correctly as I measured the stripes from the original paint and had them duplicated on the repaint. As you'll see in the trim tag info below, it did originally have a black vinyl top, but I elected not to putone on. I do have the stainless trim for the top if the buyer wants to put one back on. All of the emblems and chrome on the caris either new or professionally polished/redone. The date coded wheels were stripped and painted with the original GM paint code laquer on the front and back.

The original numbers matching block was rebuilt with its 1182 crank, stock grind camshaft and forged pistons. Heads are 186's with the correct studs and 2.02 valves. It also has the correct 2110 intake manifold and 4489 NA9 holley carb. The NA9 emissions canister is still on the car with the correct lines and separator above the rear-end. The M20 transmission is not original to this car (it is out of a 1969 car) but it was rebuilt as well.

The black deluxe interior still retains its original headliner, rear seats and door panels. The rest was restored toshow quality. The am radio works perfect and the speaker was re-coned.

The rear-end is the original dated 12 bolt, still retains the correct GM 3.73 gearset.

What does it need to be perfect? Not much, it drives, stops and steers great. It does have a small paint chip on the edge of the drivers door that happened from re-assembly, but the rest of the car is nice and chip free top and bottom because it has been driven only on a rare occasion.

Here are some of the numbers from the car. If you have any specific questions about a part let me know and I'll be happy to answer them. I also have a ton of other pics, so let me know if you want to see something not shown above. If you want to call me with any questions, you can reach me at708-476-2377.
