Description of 1963 Chevrolet Impala

This is the unassuming nice guy that's got the ability to beat everyone up. On the outside it looks like a nice pristine Impala dressed in a dignified white. What you don't see is the A/C interior with the thumpin' stereo, and ZZ4 performance crate motor. So beneath this Beatles appearance lies the heart of the Rolling Stones. Impala coupes are highly collectable because the wide chrome grille up front and the broad six taillight arrangement are both icons of the 60s. These cars are not as chrome heavy as other full-size coupes that had come before them, which makes each piece of brightwork an appreciated styling touch. It's especially true on this car where the bumpers have been re-chromed. But what really makes this a standout is the paint. Ermine White is a great color that was even shared with the Corvette. Yet on this Impala, the modern professional respray gives this classic the kind of luster that reminds this was the top dog in the Chevy coupe lineup. The final piece to catch the eye-catching package is a set of 15-inch Rally wheels. But if that makes this Impala feel too much like a bold SS to you, then you can also attach the factory hubcaps that come in the sale, too.Impalas are great coupes to collect because they have the cool pillarless hardtop style that make them an instant classic, and at the same time, these full-size Chevys comfortably fit plenty of friends. So when it comes time to carry everyone, do it in style with these black vinyl seats that have comfortable silver and blue inserts. Sitting behind the wheel feels like time warp with the proper Impala center cap on the highly stylized rim. Plus, the wide speedometer is a great hallmark of the era. But then your senses start to notice some very modern upgrades. You can hear it in the Blaupunkt AM/FM/CD stereo; you feel it in the ice-cold R134a air conditioning; and you see it in the large AutoMeter auxiliary gauge. In fact, that last one starts to get you thinking there might be something special under the hood, too.One twist of the key, and no one will believe this is a mild-mannered classic. The rumble of the dual exhaust gives its performance nature away instantly. Under the hood is a 350 cubic-inch ZZ4 crate motor. These already offer serious performance right out of the box, and this one is upgraded with performance components such as a Holley Double Pumper four-barrel carburetor, aluminum intake, aluminum heads, and headers. So while this looks like a comfortable Impala on the outside, the beast under the hood means the factory SS cars will only see your taillights. Making sure this is true is the stout TH350 three-speed automatic that can handle all this motor's power. That feeds the 10-bolt rear end. Control is also well in hand thanks to power steering and front disc brakes. But as much as all these features are good for performance, you also know many have a practical side that's good for cruising, too. That's why there's also an electric fan, so this Impala stays cool even at parade speeds. So it's the nice-guy Beatles on the outside that masks the bad-boy Rolling Stones underneath. But that doesn't matter because it's all rock-n-roll. And at this price, it's easy to score a ticket to the show. Call now!!
