Description of 1965 Chevrolet Corvette

This is a Tribute to a local Corvette Raced in the 60s out of Gordon Wilson Chevrolet in Salt Lake city. This car was rebuilt from a crashed car about 20 years ago by myself and has a "Rebuilt-restored" title and state issued Vin number. It uses a 1977 Corvette chassis and engine that had less than 15,000 miles on it at the time. The Speedometer and tachometer are out of the 77 donor car now showing about 22,000 miles total. The engine is the original engine from the 77 with an Edelbrock "performer" camshaft and "Vortec" heads and makes great torque. It uses a Borg-Warner5 speedtransmission that has overdrive. Also has Power steering. 3.55 ratio Positraction rear end and goes greaton the freeway. As you can see there are no provisions for a top or side windows. The headlights are in the stock location and aremanuallyoperated. Wipers work. No emergency brake or heater. All lights work. This is a true Roadster like a Cobra. The seats are very comfortable and this car drives very nice. The engine has a deep exhaust sound like a big block. I took the car to the drags once and ran it and turned 13.9 at 100 mph at 4200 feet altitude Rocky Mountain Raceway. Adjusted for sea level that's a 13.2 at 10, about what a Big Block Vette ran back in the day. This a good old car and I wouldn't have an issue driving long distance except for the no top and windows . If you have questions call 801 292 1555 from noon to 6pm mst.
