Description of 1971 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS |
A great classic Camaro is original in all the right places, but with the right kind of custom touches so everyone remembers it. That's why we love this 1971 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS with its shimmering paint and strong V8 heart. This coupe was recently repainted in the same spirit of the original 13B Nevada Silver, but the factory never made it look this good. The shine of the modern clearcoat (and plenty of it) gives this car a new depth that will make you love to show it off on sunny days. And the black SS stripe package is a performance touch everyone loves to see. But this one gets the aggressive look correct even in the details. For example, the cowl induction hood, which is a traditional Camaro upgrade, looks absolutely right on this '71. The deep chin spoiler appears like it's out to clean up the streets. And of course, the wide grille in between the new slender chrome side bumpers, which defines the high-performance early 2nd gen F-bodies. Balancing out the aggressive front, the spoiler carries the stripes with pride as it coves the entire rear end. In between are classic torque thrust style alloy wheels with cool custom SS center caps. The interior has all the best appearance of stock with some nice upgrades. Slide into those supportive gray and black cloth buckets, and you're treated to one of the best interiors of the 1970s. The gauge panel wraps around the driver like a cockpit, with a full array of factory instruments, including provisions for the original optional tach. The headliner, carpets, and door panels all feel factory-fresh because they were all recently replaced. This Camaro is meant to leave you wanting for nothing, and so it has great features like R-134a air conditioning, power windows, and AM/FM/cassette player that keep the original knob-style appearance. As the driver, you get to grab an original SS steering wheel with your left hand, but you'll notice that in the factory center console, your right hand now gets a B&M Quicksilver shifter. If you like the silver and black exterior, you're going to love to lift the hood. The 350 cubic-inch Chevy small block V8 is glimmering with plenty of brightwork, and it's backed up by tidy black belts, wires, and hoses. But besides just looking fantastic, this motor is backed up by components such as a four-barrel carburetor, performance intake, and long tube headers. A modern billet serpentine belt system keeps everything tidy under the hood and looking great. So there's real power behind you while the performance x-pipe dual exhaust makes a sweet rumble. But don't just listen to the car's roar... investigate where it comes from. The undercarriage shots show you how clean and carefully maintained this classic really is. But even if the bottom is so clean you can eat off it, you'll still want to take this Camaro out on the road thanks to great driving features such as the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, front disc brakes, and low-profile performance tires. This is a beautifully-built Camaro that comes even with the owner's manual. It's a turnkey classic that will turn heads the moment you take it out of our showroom. But this kind of quality leaves our facility fast, so call today!!! |
