Description of 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 |
This is a beautiful 1956 Chevy that was given a frame off restoration a few years ago with painstaking effort to keep it as stock original as possible. It was finished in the lovely original Nassau Blue and India Ivory Two Tone Paint Combination (Paint Code 707) and Medium Blue and Light Blue Interior (Trim Code 607) as evidenced by the original cowl tag. It is powered by the original 265 V8 4 Bbl Power Pack engine and the original Powerglide transmission. Even though it's an older restoration, the condition has held up nicely with some minor paint checking only on the white part of the car. The chrome is all in excellent condition and still very shiny. The floors, trunk and frame are very nice, solid, rust free and in excellent condition. It is equipped with many different features and accessories including power steering, a factory continental kit, wonder bar radio, fender skirts, power top, traffic light viewer, stainless rocker moldings, stainless fender guards, door handle scuff guards, EZ-Eye tinted glass, and even very very rare original factory Delco wiper arms and blades. The 265 engine was thoroughly gone over and rebuilt a couple of years ago, and the shocks and the brakes were all replaced as well. It runs beautifully and is very dependable for a daily driver or a weekend cruiser. It has a lot of power and cruises like a dream down the road. The car still presents very well and it will make someone a very nice and dependable cruiser, or it could easily be made into a show car with some refreshing. This Bel Air convertible is a pleasure to own and drive and gets so much attention everywhere she goes! |
