Description of 1969 Chevrolet Nova

1969 Nova SS that is very nice and can fit in many different categories such as Pro Street,IHRA Hot Rod class car,bracket,6.0 heads up or show car.
Body: All steel except fiberglass hood that bolts onto factory hinges and uses front latch as well as pins.Factory chrome bumpers,and all factory glass windows that roll up and down as they should.The body is very straight,and the base coat clear coat paint looks very deep,show quality.Doors and deck lid operate as originals.Factory inner fenders and rad. support.Weighs 3090# dry.
Frame: Full S&W 2x3 square tube mig welded chassis and 12 point mild steel cage.Car will 8.50 certify IHRA,and or NHRA with the addition of 2 inner rocker bars.Rear center bar is removable for rear seat rides.Passes tech anywhere I have taken it with ease, although it does not have a window net.
Interior: Full original with Jegs front reclining seats, and stock rear seat.Stock dash with Auto Meter oil,water,volt, and tach with shift light and oil psi warning lamp.Stock door panels,carpet, and headliner.Twin RJS 5 point harnesses.Hurst 1/4 stick.Stock column and wheel.Big fuel cell.
Electrical: MSD 7AL-2 Plus with two step, and MSD HVC coil,new this year.Biondo Mega 450 delay box, Dedenbear electric shift.New on 6-16 Optima red top battery. New on 2-16 House of Payne 139 tooth starting system.All factory lights,signals,brake,dome,trunk and reverse lights operate like new.ARC overhead switch panel with nitrous controls.Even the horn works.Magnafuel 500 fuel pump/filter/regulator.#1 Stop Throttle Stop included, not pictured. Suspension:Double adjustable ladder bars with anti roll and single adjustable coil overs on rear New on 1-16 QA1 coil overs on front with HT QA1 springs.Tubular control arms on a chrome Pinto style rack.
Rear End:9" Ford rear with Strange 35 spline axles,5/8 studs, spool, and Strange center section.4.86 pro gear. Competition Engineering chrome spring loaded wheelie bars.
Transmission:Newer FTI level 4 Reid Case powerglide with 1.80 straight cut gears, deep pan, pro tree brake.Bought at the same time is a FTI Billet 9" converter built for car.(6250 fall back)
Engine:582 Big Block Chevy.Short block bought new from Eagle Race Engines.Dart Big M block,Eagle 4340 crank,Eagle L-19 rods,13.7 compression runs on 110,ATI balancer,billet timing cover,billet timing set,Reher Morrison Super Series solid roller,Isky Red Zone lifters,out of the box Dart 355 CNC heads,girdle, and Comp 1.7 stainless rockers.Super Victor intake,APD black widow spacer,AED 1250 gas carb,Meziere water pump, MSD Distributor,Taylor wires.Aluminum valve covers and standard header evac system.K&N air filter. Aluminum radiator and electric fan with shroud. Hardly gets to 180 degrees driving on the street.2-1/8" headers into 3.5 collectors with 18" extensions, and not pictured but included, Flowmaster Top Ten 4" exhaust system installs in 10 minutes, and runs the same ET as open.
Wheels/Tires: Weld Alumistars.15x4 and 15x14.Micky T Sportsman fronts, and 10 passes on new Micky T 32x16 stiff sidewall slicks with Micky T inner tubes.
Brakes: Wilwood disk all the way around, stock pedal, Strange master cyl.Line Loc.
In closing, this is a VERY nice car that sounds and runs great.I have driven it to local shows, and raced it in the same day. Car has been 5.79 @ 119.65 in good air with a 1.26 60' through mufflers and air filter, no air pan.Leave at 4600, shift at 6600, converter falls back to 6200/6250, traps at 6750 in the 1/8,timing on 34 degrees. Needs nothing! Only selling to finish a 4 year old project.Clear title in hand.Current tags and insurance.Thanks for looking!
