Description of 1988 Chevrolet Corvette

So every time I think about lowering my price, I go for a drive in the beast. Just can't do it. This car is unique and rarely runs into something faster. The reason it's behind the Pantera in the track picture is because you can't pass anywhere but the straightaway. Only been to the track once but what fun!!It has a 2001 LS1 engine with a 6-speed T56 tranny. Big Tube MAC ceramic coated headers and a true 3" dual exhaust, with X pipe, hi-flow cats and dynomax race mufflers, as well as a K & N on a custom cold air intake. The engine is adapted to this car with aluminum engine mount adapters and runs a single serpentine belt system with 4 idler pulleys and a Samden Air compressor and steering pump all polished aluminum from Street Perfomance. The polish is not maintained. This car is more about speed and cornering then it is about show.Alpine CD105 MP3 head unit with USB/IPOD input, two Alpine amplifiers a F-240 for the 4 corners and a M-350 for the two 10" woofers in the back deck. If the squeaky urethane bushings bugs you just turn it up!! Windows were just recently tinted very dark by the Specialist. The clutch is a hi-po Centerforce ceramic puck disc. Good for up to 600+ hp. The car has urethane bushings on everything and fairly new ball joints and ujoints. The paint was from a few years back when I had fanciful dreams of this being a show car, as well as the ground effects and wing. You can see the ghosted flames, very subtle, in the pics if you look carefully. Paint is now suffering from the AZ sun. Clear coat is chipping on the wing.New 4 row Aluminum race radiator and a new front fan on the AC condenser. The fuel system is a TRE 255lph pump with a brand new sending unit as the old one finally gave up last year. The pressure is controlled by an Aeromotive regulator. Fuel lines were just replaced. The tires are brand new BF Goodrich 275-40ZR-17's on all four corners. The brakes were just done with crossdrilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads. The shocks were also replaced this time with the silver series KYB's. Tires, shocks, brakes, and hood/hatch shocks are all new this month. This car not for your average driver either. It's a beast and requires some muscle to drive. The clutch particularly is not for the faint of heart.I prefer a local pickup but will help if you want to ship.Driving this car is a blast and you can't get anything this fast for this kind of money. Not that I would have the courage but the stock motor and trans was supposed to take it to 175. With just the big exhaust and intake probably 185 or so. I think this price is a steal when you understand that 20K went into the car with endless hours of work. The car just needs a younger enthusiast as I'm getting on in years and funds are low. Ask questions and I'll do my best to answer. Shipping is entirely your responsibility but will help load it and work with your shipper when the time comes
