Description of 1961 Chevrolet Impala Bubble Top |
Vintage Motorcars is proud to present this 1961 Chevy Impala Bubble Top. If you were to ask around; you would find out that any bubble top car is very desirable.. but a fully restored, frame-off car such as this one stands in a circle of its own. The frame was refinished in satin black and looks nicely detailed even upon close inspection. This Impala features new power steering, suspension and under body plumbing. The exterior is also extremely nice with high quality paint and chrome. The glass is all in pristine shape as well as the newly installed weather-stripping. The bumpers were re-chromed and look absolutely amazing. The power plant is a 348 V8 with 3 - 2 barrel carbs boasting over 300hp. The engine was completely rebuilt and now features an Edelbrock intake, 3 Edelbrock carbs, electronic ignition and aftermarket dual exhaust with electric cut outs. This Bubble top also has power disc brakes and a newly installed Vintage A/C & Heat. The Transmission is a performance built TH350 powering new aftermarket axles with 3:50 gearing. On the inside; this Impala was given the full custom treatment without making the interior of the car unrecognizable. Aftermarket bucket seats embroidered with the Chevy bowtie emblem were stripped down and covered in tan leather with perforated inserts. The rear seat was covered to match as well as factory style door panels. The carpeting is custom and carries into the doors with matching custom floor mats and custom built center console featuring Auto Meter Gauges. The dash was given a custom touch with a billet instrument panel insert housing the factory gauges. All of the lights and gauges are in working order as well as the horn and wipers. The trunk was also finished to match the inside of the car. The car has a great stance with the 20×9.5 and 18×8 inch staggered Rev wheels with new radials. On the street this thing demands nothing less than complete attention. This bubble top is nice in places that others cars just aren’t…cars with this level of detail are hard to come by.Don’t miss out on owning the amazing piece of American History! |
