My grandfather learned to drive through the orchards of Silicon Valley with his 1940 3/4 ton pick-up. Over the years it took many trips from his ranch in Boulder Creek down to his house in Santa Clara. As a child I remember many harrowing trips in the back of his pick-up truck. The last ten years of my grandfather's life was a joyous one as he lovingly restored his truck. He spared no expense and took his time to ensure it was impeccable. Unfortunately, shortly after he finished Parkinson's took him. The truck passed through to my grandmother and I and it pains us to sell his truck. But neither of us have the space for it and it has spent the last year sitting in storage. That is not what my grandfather would want for his truck. His truck deserves to be shared and viewed, not sitting in the back of a car storage garage (don't worry - we take it driving once a month to ensure it is still drivable). We're looking for a buyer who will appreciate the unique history of this truck. It really is one of a kind and has seen the growth of Silicon Valley from the orchards of 75 years ago to what it is today.
