Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 |
Nice '57 Chevrolet sedan delivery. This is a real delivery, not a converted wagon. Body is super straight, with no cancer. Little bits of light surface rust here and there. Paint is a satin finish (DP 40 primer tinted with Volkswagen Beetle yellow paint). The color is brighter than shows in the pictures, as it was an overcast day when I took them. The BMC logo is done in airbrushed realistic flames, and that part is clear coated.Floors are solid, never had patch panels installed. The last 2 feet of the inner rocker on the passenger side does need replaced, as does the floor brace next to it, but that's it for rust underneath. The Belair trim was added to the quarter panels years ago, but it is obviously a 150 model. Nearly new '68 327 with 1.94 camel hump heads. Runs strong. New Edelbrock carb and manifold, alternator, plug wires, exhaust gaskets. Ramhorn manifolds, dual exhaust. Turbo 350 automatic transmission with shift kit. Stock open rear differential. Original '57 split bench seat with nice upholstery. Door panels are new. Front and rear carpet, headliner and rear side panels are older, but still look very good. The shiny spot on the rear carpet is spilled paint (oops). Suspension, brakes and steering are all stock. Yes, it drives like an old car. Bolt on kits for power steering and front disc brakes are available around $1,000 for an easy conversion. 15" aluminum wheels. Rears are 15x8 with 235/60R15. Fronts are 15x7 with 205/60R15. I also have a set of Weld Rodlites with nice tires, if you would rather have those. Rare car. Only 8,300 produced, with probably around 2,000 left in existence. Odometer shows 29,311. It's actually 129,311. Will come with heater motor, wiper motor, and wiper arms (will need installed). The '68 Firebird consoles shown in one of the pictures are NOT included with the car. Clean title in my name. I've owned it since 1990. I have too many cars, and just don't drive this one much anymore. Not looking for trades. I forgot to mention that the spare tire well has been partially removed. I have a solid original tire well that I will include with the sale (will need to be installed). This car is also for sale locally (but I won't end the listing early if a bid has been made). This car drives fine around town, but I have never taken it on a long trip. Personally, I would have it trailered if you live far away. I can help with loading. $500 deposit due with 48 hours after end of listing. Balance due in cash, bank transfer, or certified bank check. Feel free to call with questions. My cell is (503)515-9123. |
